Triangles

What would happen if we halved these shapes?

The area of a triangle is half the area of the big shape, so:

Finding the volume of a prism.

How can we calculate the


total number of cubes?
If we can find the volume of one slice,
we can multiply that to find the total volume.

We call one slice of a prism
