Lecture-Based Course Plan:

Integral Calculus
Weeks 1–2: Introduction to Integrals
In the first two weeks, students will be introduced to the concept of integrals and their significance in mathematics.
The lectures will cover the fundamental principles of integration, including the definition of the integral, Riemann
sums, and basic properties of integrals.

Week 3-4: Techniques of Integration

During weeks 3 and 4, the focus will be on various integration techniques, such as substitution, integration by parts,
trigonometric integrals, and partial fractions. Students will learn how to apply these techniques to solve various
integrals.

Weeks 5–6: Applications of Integrals

The following two weeks will be dedicated to exploring integrals' applications in real-world problems. This will
include calculating areas, volumes, arc length, surface area, and physical applications.

Week 7-8: Differential Equations

In weeks 7 and 8, the course will shift to differential equations and their relationship to integrals. Students will learn
how to solve first-order differential equations using various methods, including separating variables and integrating
factors.

Week 9–10: Improper Integrals

During weeks 9 and 10, the focus will be on improper integrals and their convergence. The lectures will cover
techniques for evaluating improper integrals and understanding their applications in real-world problems.

Week 11–12: Sequences and Series

The course will delve into the convergence of sequences and series in weeks 11 and 12. Topics will include tests for
convergence, power series, Taylor series, and applications of series in various fields.

Week 13–14: Calculus with Polar Coordinates

The following two weeks will introduce students to calculus in polar coordinates, including conversion between
Cartesian and polar coordinates, polar curves, areas and lengths in polar coordinates, and applications.

Week 15-16: Calculus with Parametric Equations

During weeks 15 and 16, the focus will be on calculus with parametric equations. Students will learn about
parametric curves, arc length, and surface area in parametric form, as well as the applications of parametric
equations in physics and engineering.

Week 17–18: Review and Final Assessment

In the final two weeks, there will be a comprehensive review of the entire course, including practice problems and a
final assessment to gauge the students' understanding of integral calculus. Students will be encouraged to showcase
their skills and apply their knowledge to solve complex problems.
