2. PRESENTACION
Every English learner knows how to talk about general things of common topics. In this guide you will learn
about specific topics on history, education and general aspects of a city. Here you will be able to practice
and improve your grammar skills by doing some specific activities, don’t forget that the activities are
individual, and some answers are personal and shall not be similar to someone else’s.
In this guide we are going to work on present tenses, conditionals, vocabulary items related to
accommodation places and university facilities when visiting a foreign country as the UK. Normally we use
these verbal tenses to talk about non-real situations and real situations as routines, and repeated actions
as well as imaginary events.

The scientists did other tests too. They gave the elephant cubes of vegetables. First, they
gave the elephant a few cubes. She picked them up with the tip of her trunk. Then they
gave the elephant a pile of cubes. The elephant switched to vacuum mode. Her nostrils
didn't expand, she breathed in deeply. She absorbed the food with her trunk. Then she
put the food in her mouth.
trunks. This new research opens doors. Now, scientists can see how trunks take and
move objects. This may inspire even better robots in the future.

Many people just see crows as disgusting birds. They eat insects, dead animals,
and trash. But scientists say crows are smart and have many skills. They use tools
to solve problems. They remember human faces for years. They can also repeat
sounds that they hear. Crows live in large families. The birds communicate often.
They use many calls. Each call means something different. They have separate
warning calls for cats, hawks and people.

We struggled with the problem of plastic every year. About 300 million tons of plastic are
trashed every year. That's about the weight of 800 Empire State Buildings. Now, a small
superhero may help with the problem. It is a specie of caterpillar called a waxworm.
Researchers will study the caterpillars' bacteria. They want to know what is inside. That
way it can be used to design better ways to solve the plastic usage problem.

Forpheus is a robot that plays table tennis. It does a lot more than that, too. It can read
body movements. It can tell if its opponent is skilled. It can even give advice. The robot
tries to understand how you feel. It tries to predict your next move.
Other robots are a little different. They are being made to understand
and react to people's feelings.
SoftBank made a robot like this, called Pepper. It can tell if someone is
happy or angry, it uses this information to understand someone's
feelings.
