I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learners demonstrate understanding on how animals adapt to their to
land or water with their body parts.
B. Performance Standards The learner should be able to construct a prototype model of organism that
has body parts which can survive in a given environment.
C. Most Essential Infer that body structures help animals adapt and survive in their particular
Learning Competency habitat. S4LT-IIab-4
II. CONTENT Body Parts of Animals That Live in Water
Science Concept
Animals have body structures that help them adapt to water.
Fish have scales, shrimp and lobsters have exoskeletons water birds
have webbed feet, sea turtles have paddles while mussels and clams
have shells in order to survive in water.
An adaptation is the structure or behavior that helps an organism
survive in its environment

3. Weather Report
Do you want this kind of weather ? Why?
ELICIT Motivation:
F. Developing Mastery The teacher will check, explain , process and supplement the lesson
presented by the learners on the different aquatic/water animals. (Power
Point Presentation PPT and Video Clip)
Questions:
Do animals live in the same area/habitat?
Why do animals live in different habitats?
What are the animals that live in water?
Why do these animals survive in water?
What body structure/parts help them adapt to their environment?
How does adaptation help animals survive on their habitat?
Health & EPP Integration: “Aquatic animals are important in our daily
living it serves as our food and provides us livelihood”.
New Normal Life: Like the animals, we should also know how to adapt
ourselves in the new normal of living so that we can survive and surpass the
challenges that this epidemic has brought in our life. We should be
“RESILIENT” all the time.
