Traditional haircare bottles lead to wastage, spillage, and difficulty in measuring precise
amounts. Communal dispensers raise hygiene concerns. To cater these problems we bring our
Innovative haircare dispensing solution (IHDS). This will bring a new era of an technology
integrated haircare solution that will ease your headache about what to use, what is right for my
hair, how much to use. After usage where to dispense, how much is leftout and when to order.

·Below are the data on basis of which we tried to figure out a product that may be well accepted:
30% of shampoo is wasted due to overpouring and improper storage (Nielsen, 2019).
·72% of consumers prefer touchless solutions for hygiene reasons (Kantar, 2022).
·68% of consumers value personalized beauty experiences (Accenture, 2023).
·550 million shampoo bottles are discarded annually in the US alone (Green Whale, 2023).

Our product has two basic USPs


It will be the first product in Shampoo and Conditioner category that will come
in paper packaging to reduce the plastic waste.
We are introducing the zero contact solution of Loreal Shampoos and
Conditioners.
Points of consideration
Scalability: The IHDS is the product or the kit which requires mobile app and the shampoo packs for it to
function. The customer has to to pay a subscription fee for the professional advice. They too will
repeatedly buy loreal shampoo and conditioner product as we are creating a system analytical haircare
service. This is the most prominent way to retain customer loyalty. Moreover, there will be different
subscription packages depending on the user like salon professional, regular and premium user.
Profitablity: As explained in the previous point kit itself is a source of revenue, which will be boosted by the
application charges. The cost of packaging can be reduced as we will be using paper packaging instead
of bottling which will be transferred in different containers of the IHDS kit. The technology of creating a user
specific Shampoo or conditioner suspension from Loreal shampoo pellets will create a huge customer
base. The notification from the from the kit will help in better demand forecast. This will reduce the
inventory carrying cost, ordering cost and transit cost per order. This too will help minimise the deadstock.
Sustainability: The product is viable as we will be the first to provide a clean and hygienic zero contact
dispenser. The user wont have to worry about the time of repurchase as the service will be one click away.
The product will be sustainable in terms of business. If we are able to produce it in the form of pellets we
can store it in paper packaging reducing the plastic utilisation along with cost. This will be a major
contribution to the environment from loreal paris team.
