的提高。英语视听说(I)侧重基础初级的听力材料,口语侧重练
习日常对话。
This series of courses on English Listening and Speaking are
designed to develop students’ listening skills and oral expressions
gradually. Meanwhile, the culture in English-speaking countries will be

二、课程性质及课程目标

2.1 课程性质

《英语视听说(I)》是高等学校英语专业的核心必修课程。

2.2 课程目标
本课程主要介绍听力技巧、提供多元的口语训练环节。通过有声及视听材料,经
过严格的、专门的训练,使学生能在以下方面得到提高:

G1——掌握基本听力技巧,提高听力理解能力;
G2——通过视听材料,完善语音面貌,提高口语表达能力;
G3——扩充语言及文化背景等知识,提高人文修养与跨文化交际能力。
G4——鼓励学生关心时事政治,培养学生的家国情怀。

四、理论教学内容与要求

4.1 听力主题训练:大学生活(4 学时)

4.1.1 教学目标(G1、G2、G3、G4)
熟悉描述大学生活的基本词汇、短语和句式;掌握快速精确快速记录日期、人数与价
钱等数字的能力;掌握听力捕捉有用信息的能力;理解英美国家的高等教育概况;提高有
关大学生活与高等教育的日常口语表达能力。

4.1.3 教学要求
学生在课堂需预习第一单元的相关词汇,课上老师进行抽查和复习。课堂老师带领学
生同完成第一单元的部分课堂练习,并总结相关听力技巧,课后学生自主完成剩余听力练
习,并实践最新习得的听力技巧。学生在练习课本听力材料的同时,老师向学生展示与大
学生活相关的课外视听材料,并就这些材料展开听力练习。在听力练习的过程中,学生需
多多参与课堂的问答,提高口语表达的自信与能力。在此之余,学生完成课堂相关口语活
动,提高相关日常口语表达能力。

4.2 听力主题训练:人与动物(4 学时)

4.2.1 教学目标(G1、G2、G3、G4)
熟悉描述动物的基本词汇、短语和句式;提高听力归纳大意的能力与捕捉有用细节的
能力;熟悉练习口语常常出现的连读与缩读现象;提高有关动物的日常口语表达能力。

4.2.3 教学要求

习,并实践最新习得的听力技巧。学生在练习课本听力材料的同时,老师向学生展示与人
与动物相关的课外视听材料,并就这些材料展开听力练习。在听力练习的过程中,学生需
多多参与课堂的问答,提高口语表达的自信与能力。在此之余,学生完成课堂相关口语活
动,提高相关日常口语表达能力。

4.3 听力主题训练:旅行(4 学时)

4.3.1 教学目标(G1、G2、G3、G4)
熟悉描述旅行的基本词汇、短语和句式;提高听力过程中对讲话者内容的推测与猜测
能力;提高在语境中猜新词的能力;增强听力短期记忆的能力;提高有关旅行的日常口语
表达能力。

4.4.1 教学目标(G1、G2、G3、G4)
熟悉描述房屋与家居的基本词汇、短语和句式;提高捕捉听力关键词及要点的能力;
了解城市生活与乡村生活的利弊;提高有关房子与家居的日常口语表达能力。

扩充描述节日的基本词汇、短语和句式;能够总结听力材料的大意;拓宽学生关于西
方节日的知识面;增强跨文化交际意识。

4.5.3 教学要求

4.6 听力主题训练:家庭生活(4 学时)


4.6.1 教学目标(G1、G2、G3、G4)
扩充描述家庭生活的基本词汇、短语和句式;提高笔录大数字的能力;掌握弱读、连
读、缩略语、重音、语气、语调等语音知识,了解其对听力理解的影响。

4.7 听力主题训练:食物(6 学时)

4.7.1 教学目标(G1、G2、G3、G4)
扩充描述食物与烹饪的基本词汇、短语和句式;在国际语境下了解中西美食各自的特
色,提高关于美食的跨文化交际能力与口语表达能力。

4.7.3 教学要求

生同完成第就单元的部分课堂练习,并总结相关听力技巧,课后学生自主完成剩余听力练
习,并实践最新习得的听力技巧。学生在练习课本听力材料的同时,老师向学生展示与食
物相关的课外视听材料,并就这些材料展开听力练习。在听力练习的过程中,学生需多多
参与课堂的问答,提高口语表达的自信与能力。在此之余,学生完成课堂相关口语活动,
提高关于食物主题口语表达能力。设计饮食场景模拟,增强跨文化交际意识与口语交际能
力。

6.1 考核方式和内容

本课程的教学环节包括课堂教授、课外听力练习、新闻播报、课上练习、平时作业。
学生每周完成规定的预习任务,准备课堂的展示和讨论活动。本课程的考核方式包括过程
考核和期末考试,其中过程考核是课堂表现(包括出勤和参与)、平时作业两部分的综合
评定。期末考试基于课堂讲授、课外练习、平时作业进行闭卷笔试,考试题型包括填空、
选择、判断正误等。具体分工如表 2 所示。

Brief Course Description This series of courses on English Listening and Speaking are designed
to develop students’ listening skills and oral expressions gradually.

Ⅱ. Curriculum Nature and Course Objectives

2.1 Course Nature

English Listening and Speaking (I) is a core compulsory course for English Majors in universities.

2.2 Course Objectives


This course mainly introduces listening skills and provides multiple oral training links. Through
sound and audio-visual materials and strict and special training, students can improve in the
following aspects:
G1 - master basic listening skills and improve listening comprehension;
G2 - improve pronunciation and oral expression through audio-visual materials;
G3 - expand the knowledge of language and cultural background, and improve humanistic
cultivation and cross-cultural communication ability.
G4 - encourage students to care about current affairs; cultivate students' love for the motherland.

4.1 Listening Training: College Life (4 class hours)

4.1.1 Teaching Objectives (G1, G2, G3, G4)

Be familiar with the basic vocabulary, phrases and sentence patterns describing college life;
Master the ability to record date, number of people and price quickly and accurately; Master the
ability of listening and capturing useful information; Understand the general situation of higher
education in Britain and the United States; Improve the ability of daily oral expression related to
college life and higher education.

(1) Unit 1 vocabulary related to college life

4.1.3 Teaching Requirements

Students need to preview the relevant vocabulary of unit 1 in class, and the teacher will conduct
spot check and review in class. The classroom teacher leads the students to complete part of the
classroom exercises in unit 1 and summarize the relevant listening skills. After class, the students
independently complete the remaining listening exercises and practice the newly acquired
listening skills. While students practice listening materials in textbooks, the teacher shows
students extracurricular audio-visual materials related to college life and carries out listening
exercises on these materials. In the process of listening practice, students need to participate in
more questions and answers in class to improve their confidence and ability of oral expression. In
addition, students complete relevant oral activities in class and improve their daily oral expression
skills.

4.2 Listening Training: Human and Animal (4 class hours)

4.2.1 Teaching Objectives (G1, G2, G3, G4)

Be familiar with basic vocabulary, phrases and sentence patterns describing animals; Improve the
ability of listening to summarize the general idea and capture useful details; Be familiar with the
phenomenon of continuous reading and contraction in oral practice; Improve the daily oral
expression ability of animals.

4.3 Listening Training: Travel (4 class hours)

Be familiar with the basic vocabulary, phrases and sentence patterns describing travel; Improve
the ability to speculate and guess the speaker's content in the process of listening; Improve the
ability of guessing new words in context; Enhance the ability of listening and short-term memory;
Improve the ability of daily oral expression about travel.

ability and enhance their listening short-term memory ability.

4.4 Listening Training: House and Home (4 class hours)

4.4.1 Teaching Objectives (G1, G2, G3, G4)

Be familiar with basic vocabulary, phrases and sentence patterns describing house and home;
Improve the ability to capture key words and key points of listening; Understand the advantages
and disadvantages of urban life and rural life; Improve the ability of daily oral expression about
house and home.

4.5 Listening Theme Training: Festival (4 class hours)

Expand the basic vocabulary, phrases and sentence patterns describing festivals; Be able to
summarize the general idea of listening materials; Broaden students' knowledge of western
festivals; Enhance the awareness of cross-cultural communication.

exercises on these materials. In the process of listening practice, students need to participate in
more questions and answers in class to improve their confidence and ability of oral expression. In
addition, students complete classroom related oral activities, design festival scene simulation, and
enhance their awareness of cross-cultural communication.

4.6 Listening Training: Family Life (4 class hours)

4.6.1 Teaching Objectives (G1, G2, G3, G4)

Expand the basic vocabulary, phrases and sentence patterns describing family life; Improve the
ability to record large numbers; Master the phonetic knowledge of weak reading, continuous
reading, abbreviations, stress, mood and intonation, and understand its impact on listening
comprehension.

4.7.3 Teaching Requirements

Students need to preview the relevant vocabulary of unit 10 in class, and the teacher will conduct
spot check and review in class. The classroom teacher leads the students to complete part of the
classroom exercises in unit 1 and summarize the relevant listening skills. After class, the students
independently complete the remaining listening exercises and practice the newly acquired
listening skills. While students practice listening materials in textbooks, the teacher shows
students extracurricular audio-visual materials related to food and carries out listening exercises
on these materials. In the process of listening practice, students need to participate in more
questions and answers in class to improve their confidence and ability of oral expression. In
addition, students complete oral activities related to the class and improve their oral expression
ability on food topics. Design diet scene simulation to enhance cross-cultural communication
awareness and oral communication ability.

6.1 Assessment Methods and Contents

The teaching links of this course include classroom teaching, extracurricular listening practice,
news broadcasting, in class practice and usual homework. Students complete the prescribed
preview tasks every week and prepare for classroom presentation and discussion activities. The
assessment methods of this course include process assessment and final examination. Process
assessment is a comprehensive assessment of classroom performance (including attendance and
participation) and usual homework. The final examination is based on classroom teaching,
extracurricular practice and usual homework. The examination questions include filling in the
blank, multiple-choice questions, T&F, etc. The specific division of labor is shown in Table 2.
