The pie chart shows the percentage of three nutrients including sodium, saturated fat

and added sugar in an average American’s typical meal. All of these substances can
affect health if absorbed in large amounts.

Overall, it is clear that the differences in the amount of each nutrient in meals
throughout the day. The rates of sodium and saturated fat in dinner are the highest,
while added sugar is most prevalent in snacks. Meanwhile, breakfast is the healthiest
meal which contains the least amount of salt, oil and sugar.
From the pie chart, it can be seen that of all three nutrients, sodium has the highest
level in dinner, with about 43%. On the other hand, sodium in breakfast and lunch are
lower than dinner with 27% for lunch and just only 14% for breakfast. Additionally dinner
has 37% of saturated fat, which is the largest amount from this chart, compared to 26%,
14%, and 16% for lunch, snacks, and breakfast. Dinner accounts for 23% of total added
sugar, followed by 19% and 16% for lunch and breakfast.

In conclusion, a considerable rate can be seen in the figures for dinner in the
percentages of sodium, saturated fats and sugars in daily meals in USA.
