The “Main Screen” gives basic weather information and indicates if the evaporator is stopped (Red
Icon), counting down to start or stop the fan or pump (Yellow Icon), or running (Green Icon). The
weather units of measurement can be changed depending on the location of the machine. For example,
in India the temperature will be displayed in oC and wind speed in km/h. The compass rose indicates the
direction the wind is COMING FROM. At the bottom of the Main Screen are navigation buttons to open
the Alarm screen and Single Machine View screen.

If the time displayed on the main screen as the Current Time, the user may set the time for the PLC’s by
pressing the “Set Clocks” button to open the pop-up shown above. To set the time, press the “Enter
Password” button to open a keypad and type “1” then press enter. This will allow you to change the
times. Touch the “Hours” or “Minutes” numeric display to open a keypad and change the value to the
desired value and press enter. When the time shown inside this pop-up window is correct, press the
“Set Clocks” button to save this value to the PLC’s. Press the “Logout” button to secure the values, and
press “Close” to exit the pop-up.

The “Alarms” screen displays any alarms the evaporator or weather station panel may have, as well as
the time the alarm was triggered. Alarms such as “Fan Overload Tripped” must be physically reset inside
the evaporator control panel before they can be reset from this screen. To reset the alarms press the
“Reset All Alarms” button. If a VFD fault code is listed in the alarm, a list describing what each fault code
means can be opened by pressing the “VFD Fault Codes” button. The list is shown below.

The “Single Machine” screen shows detailed information about the evaporator selected. Current flow
rate, VFD Speed and VFD Fault Code can be seen as well as Totalized values for the lifetime of that
evaporator. The “Auto Flow Offset” will decrease or increase the Automatic VFD speed by -50 to +50%
of the calculated Auto VFD speed, as long as it stays above the minimum VFD speed and below 100%.
The Auto VFD Speed is calculated using the current temperature and humidity to find the best speed for
optimal evaporation rates. This only takes place with the evaporator in Automatic Mode. To change the
Mode of the evaporator or to manually operate the evaporator use the buttons in the top left pane. If
the evaporator is running in manual, setting the machine to automatic will allow the machine to
continue to run as long as the weather conditions are within the set parameters. If the machine is
running in Automatic and the operator presses the “Stop Fan” or “Stop Pump” button, or if they change
the evaporator to Manual Mode, the evaporator will immediately shut down and force the Mode to
manual.

Automatic Start/Stop
Timer countdown

Above shows the single machine screen with the evaporator running in Automatic Mode. This screen
will show a timer countdown for when the fan or pump will start or stop when in Automatic Mode. The
amount of time each component waits to start or stop, as well as weather permissions, are configurable
by the operator in the Wind Config Screen shown on the next page.

The left side of the Wind Config screen allows the user to enter the maximum wind speed coming from
each octant the evaporator is allowed to run at. If the operator does not want the machine to run with
the wind coming from a certain direction they may disable that octant completely using the buttons
below the numeric speed inputs. The operator may also set the maximum relative humidity and
minimum temperature for the evaporator to run. This allows the operator to take control of ideal
evaporation conditions. The time delay settings allows the operator to change the amount of time the
evaporator will wait before starting or stopping the fan or pump if the weather conditions change.

The operator may also set constraints for what Time of Day the evaporator is allowed to run. If the Time
of Day function is Enabled, the evaporator will not run unless the current time is between the
Evaporator Start Time and Evaporator Stop time.
