Is it OK to be a ‘night owl’?
With the rise of remote work, there’s been a noticeable change in people’s behaviour as many
say they feel more productive at night. ‘Night owls’ are not fans of getting up 1
the crack of dawn; they prefer to 2 a snooze in the afternoon (after they have had
lunch) and they can work late into the night. Sometimes they don’t even sleep 3
wink and they are perfectly fine with it. But the real question is: are night owls or morning
people more productive?
Contrary to popular belief, one group isn’t better than the other. In fact, numerous studies
on night owls and ‘early birds’ point 4 that the differences between them are
often related to other aspects of life. According to experts, comparing both groups is like
comparing two ice cream flavours – vanilla and chocolate. They’re both sweet, but people
will always choose one over the other. So, morning larks are just more 5 to waking
up early and doing their jobs first thing in the morning, while night owls prefer to stay up at
night and sleep 6 a log the next morning.
7 conclusion, both night owls and early birds are equally productive, just at
different times of the day. There’s nothing wrong with belonging to one group or the other.
It’s just how your brain is wired.

that there is a 3 improvement in the English skills of those international college 3 VISION
students who mainly learn the language through watching TV series. In the study, teachers
were asked to 4 such students, and they recognized that this activity seemed to 4 OBSERVATION
be a tool that helped them learn the English language.
There are, however, certain aspects of TV series that some people find 5 . They 5 ANNOY
claim that TV series are not great for teenagers because they often show toxic relationships
in a positive way. For example, in one popular show the guy never really understood why
his girlfriend put so much effort into her new career. His behaviour was really 6 6 IRRITATE
because he wanted her to focus on him instead of her job. They eventually ended up
together, but she gave up pursuing a career abroad for him. The series suggested that this
