and activities.

4. To participate in the exchange of simple written messages.
5. To give students practice in speaking/reading/listening/writing skills
Assumed knowledge:
 Students already have some knowledge related to this subject from the previous year.
 Students have already worked with online tools.
Anticipated problems:
 Students may not be able to understand some vocabulary items; if the English explanations are
not sufficient, the items will be translated into Romanian

Aims:
 To review vocabulary and structures previously learnt

Procedure: The teacher checks students’ previous knowledge.

ACTIVITY . LEAD IN
Aims:
 To introduce students into the topic

Procedure: The teacher uses Quizizz to play a game on the topic Great Britain. They remember the
countries learned in the previous year and try and guess the topic of this lesson, Holiday places and
activities.

ACTIVITY 2. PRE-LISTENING ACTIVITY


Aims:
 To introduce vocabulary related to holiday places and activities.
Timing: 10`

Procedure: The teacher uses a Jamboard to introduce new vocabulary. The students must match the image
to the correct word. They write the new words in their notebooks.

ACTIVITY 3: LISTENING ACTIVITY


Aims:
 To identify the general meaning of a clearly articulated oral messages related to holiday places
and activities.
 To identify the essential information in short recorded excerpts referring to holiday places and
activities.
 To give students practice in listening and speaking skills.
Timing: 10`
Interaction: T-S, S-T, S-S
Procedure: The teacher starts an interactive listening worksheet on liveworksheets.com.
1. The students are going to listen to four dialogues about holidays. The first task is to write the
holiday words previously learned that they can hear for each dialogue.
2. The second task is to write specific information from the dialogues such as accommodation,
destination and activities.

ACTIVITY 4: POST-READING ACTIVITY


Aims:
 To take part in short verbal exchanges on the topic Holiday places and activities.
 To participate in the exchange of simple written messages.
Timing: 10`

Procedure:
1. The students are asked to fill in a text with the correct words from the dialogues.
2. They should write where they went, where they stayed, what activities they did and how can they
describe their holiday. All the messages are posted on the jamboard.
ACTIVITY 5: SETTING HOMEWORK
Timing: 2`

The students are asked to write a short paragraph about their last holiday (100 words). They must
mention the place, the accommodation, the activities, the people they went with.

ACTIVITY 6: FEED BACK AND EVALUATION


Timing: 8`

The teacher announces the students that they are going to have a short examination on Quizizz on
the topic Holiday places and activities.
