Topic: The Impact of Climate Change on Small-Scale Farmers in communities around st. Lucia

Statement of Problem:
Climate change is a global phenomenon with far-reaching consequences, and its impact on
agriculture, particularly on small-scale farmers, is a growing concern. In our local
community/area, the effects of climate change on small-scale farmers have become
increasingly evident. This study investigates the challenges and vulnerabilities faced by small-
scale farmers due to climate change in our community.

Reason for Investigating the Problem:


There are several compelling reasons for conducting this study:

Food Security: Small-scale farmers play a game significant role in providing food for our
community. Climate change-related challenges, such as unpredictable weather patterns and
increased pests and diseases, can jeopardize food production and, consequently, food security.

Social Implications: The livelihoods of many families in our community depend on small-scale
farming. The impact of climate change can lead to increased vulnerability, displacement, and
social unrest among affected farmers.

In conclusion, the effects of climate change on small-scale farmers in our local community are a
pressing issue that demands attention and action. This study aims to contribute to a better
understanding of the challenges faced by these farmers and to provide valuable insights that
can inform policies and initiatives aimed at building resilience and sustainability in agriculture in
our community.

In order to effectively assess my topic the impact of climate change on small-scale farmers in
our l country, This methodology aims to gather relevant data on this topic, analyze the findings,
and draw conclusions about this problem. The first step involves conducting a survey. This
helps to establish a solid foundation of knowledge among local farmers, as well as the level of
awareness and understanding of climate change.
