Pythagoras’ Theorem

Pythagoras was an ancient Greek philosopher and

mathematician. Pythagoras also founded his own religion
which worshiped numbers and a divine being. He believed that
the soul was an immortal being inside a material body.
Pythagoras discovered the theorem about right angle
triangles.

Pythagoras’ theorem has had a major impact on society today.

This theorem is used in many building projects through
measurements for excavating and building. Pythagoras’ theorem
can also be used every day life. It can be used to find the right
type of ladder to reach a certain height, determine the difference
between people’s height, weight and age and differences between
places.

Pythagoras’ theorem states that the square of the

length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of
squares of the lengths of other two sides of the
right-angled triangle.
A Pythagorean triad is a set of
positive integers that fit the rule of
a2+b2=c2.

The longest side of the triangle is

called hypotenuse.

The Formula used to find the

hypotenuse is c=√a2+b2.
