A shocking surprise
I looked at the clock. It was eleven o’ clock. My favourite TV show ‘Henry Danger’, had just
ended.
I was feeling very sleepy. I switched off the television and headed straight to my bedroom. I put
on my pyjamas. I yawned as I went to my bed.
I removed the blanket and prepared to sleep, when all of a sudden, I heard a hissing sound. I
immediately switched on the lights. When I saw what had made the hissing sound, I screamed.
There was a snake on my bed. Fortunately my father heard my piercing cry and ran to my room,
calling my name “Raphael, Raphael”. When he saw the snake, he told me to move slowly
towards the door. I moved slowly to the doorway. When I reached my father, he grabbed me and
ran out of the room. He went back to the room with a big stick and killed the snake. That snake
shocked us all. [155 words]
