1. What is the difference between autotrophs and heterotrophs?

 The Autotrophs are known as producers because they are able to make their own
food from raw materials and energy. While the Heterotrophs are known as
consumers because they consume producers or other consumers.

2. Why are most plant are green?

 A color wheel is made up of the hues of visible light. The color an object seems to be
within that wheel is the color complimentary to the one it absorbs the most
intensely. As such, plants look green because they absorb red light most efficiently
and the green light is reflected.

3. Why Calvin Cycle also referred to as the dark reaction?

 Because unlike the light reaction, it can proceed without sunlight.

4. What process in Aerobic Cellular Respiration means "splitting of

sugar"?
 The first stage of cellular respiration, called glycolysis , takes place in the cytoplasm.
In this step, enzymes split a molecule of glucose into two molecules of pyruvate,
which releases energy that is transferred to ATP.

5. How are Photosynthesis and Respiration Associated?

 They are related to each other because Photosynthesis removes carbon dioxide from
the atmosphere, and cellular respiration puts it back. Photosynthesis releases oxygen
into the atmosphere, and cellular respiration uses that oxygen to release energy
from food.
