Soto

Soto is one of the many types of foods in Indonesia. Soto itself has several
versions such as Soto Malang, Soto Lamongan, Soto Betawi, and several other
varieties. I myself am a fan of soto, so I want to recommend the best place to eat soto
in Malang. The place I am referring to is Soto Qonaah, and Soto Qonaah itself is
categorized as a type of Soto Malang.
The price of Soto Qonaah is cheaper than the price of soto in other places. The
standard price for soto in the Malang area is between twelve to thirty thousand rupiah
for one portion with rice. Meanwhile, at Soto Qonaah, the price for one portion
complete with rice is only eight thousand rupiah. Soto Qonaah, located in
Lowokwaru, is clearly more affordable than soto in its vicinity, such as the soto on
Sigura Gura Street. The soto there is priced at eight thousand rupiah for the soup
alone, and if you want it complete with rice, the cost becomes twelve thousand rupiah.
Soto Qonaah also provides larger portions compared to most other soto places.
The term "portion" here refers to the amount of rice served. In other places, the
standard rice portion is usually around two or three spoonfuls, while at Soto Qonaah,
the portions are divided into two types: the portion for women and the portion for
men. The portion for women is approximately two to three spoonfuls, while the
portion for men is twice that of the women's portion.
What makes Soto Qonaah the best soto place in Malang is that they are
generous with the side dishes. As we know, the typical side dishes in Soto are noodles,
vermicelli, and sliced chicken. In this regard, Soto Qonaah is very generous in its
portions; there is an abundance of noodles and vermicelli, and the sliced chicken
covers the top of the bowl. Not only that, but with every purchase of Soto, you also
get two crackers as an additional bonus.
In conclusion, Soto Qonaah is considered the best place for Soto because not
only is it affordable, but the rice portions and the generosity with side dishes are
noteworthy. The typical price for a portion of sot in Malang is around twelve to thirty
thousand rupiah, while at Soto Qonaah, it's only eight thousand rupiah, and it comes
complete with rice. The rice portions at Soto Qonaah are divided into two categories:
for women and for men, where the men's portion is twice that of the women's. In
terms of side dishes, commonly consisting of noodles, vermicelli, and sliced chicken,
Soto Qonaah stands out by providing ample amounts of noodles and vermicelli, with
sliced chicken generously covering the top of the bowl. Even though the soto on
Sigura Gura street has almost the same price eight thousand rupiahs, the Soto there
sells rice separately and is stingy about the side dishes they give many vermicelli
noodles but very few chicken slices so Soto Qonaah is the best place to eat soto.
