HOMEWORK

The line chart illustrates the percentages of employees in public, private and self-employed
sectors in Britain between 2000 and 2010. It’s clear that there was an upward trend in the
proportion of government workers and soletraders while the opposite was true for that of private
company personnel.
In 2000, most employees were highly concentrated in private and public sectors. However, the
amount of self-employed workers were very low. Then, the government workers rate went down,
but the rate of private company personnel and soletrader increased gradually in 2010.
The biggest change that we can see in the chart is public and self-employed sectors become more
popular in 2010 than private sector. Firstly, we can see that in 2000, worker prefer to choose to
work at private company, about 50 percents. However, in 2010 it was declined to 20 percents,
lower than others.
