RAÚL SABIOTE Euphonium Soloist
Raúl Sabiote is a highly sought-after euphonium player and conductor based in Switzerland with extensive
experience in both roles.
Raúl began his musical training at the "Real Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Almería Julián Arcas",
where he received classes from renowned professors such as Carlos Díaz, Alejandro Marco, Elohim Porras,
Manuel González Granero or Francisco José Pérez Cruz. Later, in 2021, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree at the
"Conservatorio Superior de las Islas Baleares", under the tutelage of Josep Burguera Riera. He is currently
studying for a Master's Degree in Music Performance at the Hochschule Luzern (Switzerland), where he is
learning with leading professors such as Thomas Rüedi and Glenn Van Looy. In addition, during his career, Raúl
has received lessons from renowned soloists such as Steven Mead, Shoichiro Hokazono, José Martínez Antón,
Bastien Baumet, Juan José Munera, David Abellán, Óscar Abella, and Miguel Moreno, among others.
In addition to his performance background, he has also studied Orchestral and Wind-band Conducting with
professors Hervé Grélat, Christoph Rehli and Clemens Heil. In this field, Raúl has been taught by great
conductors such as Andrea Loss, Piotr Sułkowski, Juan José Navarro, Andrea Brown, José Miguel Rodilla and
Alessandro Celardi.
Throughout his career, Sabiote has collaborated with prestigious orchestras and wind bands, such as the
Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, the Orchestra di Fiatti Città de Ferentino and the European Union Youth Wind
Orchestra "EUYWO". As a soloist, he has had the opportunity to play with several ensembles, such as the Banda
Municipal de Palma de Mallorca "SimfoVents", the "Málaga Brass Band" and the Banda Municipal de Alicante.
Among the numerous awards and recognitions Sabiote has obtained, we can highlight First Prize at "Concurso
de Solistas del Conservatorio Superior de Música de las Islas Baleares", "Premio Art Jove en el Concurso de
Jóvenes Intérpretes Art Jove", First Prize in the "Concurso Internacional OPUS 2021", "First Prize in the "Concurso
Internacional Medici", First Prize in the "Concurso Internacional King's Peak", Second Prize in the "Concurso
Internacional Philip Jones Brass-Preis" and First Prize in the "Concurso Internacional AETyB 2022". In 2023, he
won the ST.ART - Nachwuchsförderpreise Kultur award, awarded by the government of the canton of Lucerne
(Switzerland), which distinguishes the most outstanding final projects carried out by music and art students.
Additionally, in that same year, he became the first euphonium player to win the First Prize in the Juventudes
Musicales España competition, to which he added the European EMCY award.
Since 2022, Raúl Sabiote is artist of the British brand Denis Wick London.
