Retreat Poster Assignment

The Retreat poster was an assignment to show how to work in a group and use

problem solving skills to the best of your ability. It showed how to work in an

environment with a alot of diffrent ideas and to come up with the best solution. The

main idea was to pick a group like “The Power Rangers' ' and one of the characters

will be represented by you.

I was in a group with Zuri, Alina, Manabu, Maria Elena and Arealie. The group

chose Adventure time. Each of us was represented by one character in the show. I

chose Jake. I’m like Jake in many different ways. He is funny, adventurous, emotional,

and outgoing. During the painting session I learned how to not be as demanding as I

was previously. It came along with a lot of trouble’s and almost ended up getting me

kicked out of the group. Instead of being mad or sad about it I used it as motivation

to keep going and to start pitching in.

During this assignment I felt like I wasn’t helpful enough or as motivated

enough to do this assignment. I wasn’t really as focused as I’am with other

assignments. I felt like I could improve in many different ways. If I could do this

project again I would try to pitch in and help my group like I was supposed to.

I connected this assignment to the SLE of hope since I would like to try to work

for peace. And to try harder and to trust in god's plan on where I should take over on

a project.
