Chapter : 15 Geometry

Linear Pair : Sum of all angles made on a point is 1800 .

Vertically Opposite Angles : Angles that are opposite one another at a specific vertex and are created
by two straight intersecting lines .
Vertically Opposite angles are equal to each - other

Complementary angles: - The angles whose sum is 90˙


Supplementary angles: - The angles whose sum is 180˙
Corresponding angles : Corresponding angles are one of the type of angles that are formed when two
parallel lines are intersected by the transversal line . Corresponding angles are equal to each – other.

Alternate Interior angles : The angles which are formed inside the two parallel lines , when
intersected by a transversal line , are equal to its alternate pairs . These angles are called alternate
interior angles. In the following figure ∠ 3=∠ 6∧∠ 4=∠ 5
