Day 1

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
a. identify the letter Kk,
b. produce the sound /Kk/ and;
c. recognize pictures that start with the letter Kk.

II. Subject Matter

1. Review
The teacher will show examples that start with the letter Hh.
 2. Motivation
 The teacher will introduce a song entitled “Letter Kk”.
 The teacher will sing first, and the pupils will follow until they are
familiar with the song.

B. Presentation
- The teacher will show pictures that start with the letter Kk.

C. Teacher Supervised Activities

The teacher will give instructions to the pupils.
The teacher will remind the class to follow the instructions, work together and
the fastest group to finish will receive a bonus star.
The teacher will divide the class into two (2) groups.
 Group 1 will color the images that start with the letter Kk.
 Group 2 will draw a line from each picture that starts with the letter Kk to
the center.
D. Application
The teacher will give the class instructions and distribute individual worksheets
to the pupils.

E. Generalization
The teacher will play a short game of “Last Man Standing”, which implies that
the last pupil that stands up will be the one to answer the questions. Afterwards,
the teacher will give a star to the pupil.

Guide questions:
1. What letter did we discuss today?
2. What are examples that start with the big letter K?
3. What are examples that start with small letter k?

F. Evaluation
The teacher will distribute individual worksheets to the class. The teacher will
remind the class to write their name first before answering.
 G. Assignment
The teacher will distribute individual worksheets to the class. The assignment
will be submitted the next day.
