GRASIM INDUSTRIES LIMITED (CHEMICAL DIVISION), NAGDA

 The Grasim Chemical Division was commissioned on 12th October 1972, to manufacture
Caustic Soda and its allied products.
 But after the introduction and enactment of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution)
Act, 1974 the Grasim Chemical Division has been granted consents by Madhya Pradesh
Pollution Control Board (MPPCB) with conditions to comply with.
 This is the first expansion of the Chemical Division since its commissioning in 1972, therefore
no EC is available with the plant, however in year 2004 and 2006, Consent to Establishment
was granted to both the units by MPPCB for switchover the technology from Mercury Cell
process to Membrane Cell Technology and the same has been enclosed.
