Types of Bread
• Sub – A long bread that is used in fast food
sandwiches.
• Bun – A round bread with flat bottom Ex. Burgers.
• Muffin – These are small cakes or sweet bread but
without icing.
• Scone – A small lightly sweetened bread which is served
with fruits and tea.

Types of Drinks
• Beverages – That’s a fancy way of calling a drink that’s
not water only.
• Soft drinks – All the drinks that are prepared with soda
and are non – alcoholic drinks.
Pepsi, Coca-Cola and sprite.
• Hard drink – An alcoholic drink.
• Slushie / slushy / flavored ice – A cold drink made with
blended and crushed ice and sweet flavoring.
• Smoothie / smoothy – A cold drink made with ice-
cream, milk and real fruits.
Types of Meals
• Appetizer – A small dish of food or drink that stimulates
the appetite and are usually served before a meal.
• Starters – Small amount of snacks that served before
meal to fill the stomach partially.
• Salad – A mixture of raw or cooked food like vegetables
/ pasta, fruits combined with dressings.
• Main course – The main meal that is taken after
appetizers or salad. The combination of chapatti, Bread,
Rice and gravy.
• Brunch – A heavy meal usually served in late morning.
Have brunch instead of breakfast and lunch.
Types of Meals
• Dessert – The last course of meal typically sweet dishes.
• Buffet – A meal set out informally on a table for ready
access and informal service. Breakfast buffet, lunch
buffet. etc.
• Dressing – These are the sauces which are added to
salad to enhance the taste.
• Topping – A food which is added to the top of the
others food. For examples – Pizza Topping ,cake
topping.
• Veg options – Dishes, suitable for the people who don’t
eat meat or fish.
• Vegan – vegetarian. (esp. person who does not eat food
from animal origin)
• Roasted – cooked on dry heat i.e. – roasted Papad.
• Ingredients – Things that are used to prepare a dish.
• Condiments – There are the sauces or other things that
are added after the meal is cooked for enhancing the
flavor. i.e. ketchup, salt, pepper.

• Gourmet – (Gour – may) (xqjes) A person who enjoys and
knows a lot about good food and wine. (vPNs [kku&iku dk

• Set menu – A list of dishes you can order together
(soup, main meal, starter and dessert) for a set price.
