The Sharingan is a dojutsu of the Uchiha clan.

It grants the user clear perception

and unparalleled analyzing skills.

The Sharingan tomoe progression:

1 tomoe sharingan:
-The first tomoe gives all users instant ability to analyze stuff. It is the
basic thing that allows people to copy Jutsu,
imitate movements and have faster perception. It's the basest of base sharingan
mechanisms, except for genjutsu.
Genjutsu is also a part of the first tomoe of course but it's not strong at all.
2 tomoe sharingan:
-Upon unlocking the 2nd tomoe, the user gets increased clarity of perception.
It's basically being able to see things in slow-motion which gives you time to
react, not to be confused with enhanced reflexes.
3 tomoe sharingan:
-The third Tomoe indicates that the Sharingan has matured. At this level, the
user can sense any chakra. They are also able to use advanced techniques such as
Izanagi and Izanami.

The Sharingan can undergo a complete overhaul due to extreme hatred tied to the
lose of a loved one. It is known as the Mangekyo Sharingan.
- On top of the original Sharingan abilities, the user takes it a step further. The
MS allows the user to predict the most miniscule movement.
- The MS gives the user a new set of abilities. These abilities usually come in 2
but are not limited to that number.
- The MS grows stronger the more hatred the user has.
- The MS gives the user more strength, speed and endurance.
- The MS also gives the user the ability to create Susanno's. Though not much is
known about this ability due to the Uchiha clan dying out, it is known that it's
extremely taxing
- The MS has a huge drawback. In order to use it, the user slowly loses his vision,
but there is a way around that.
The Sharingan can once again evolve. Using the eyes of a blood relative, the user
can gain the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. It removes the drawback of losing sight
and restores the eyes to a perfect condition.
