ACTIVITY

COGNITION OF LEARNERS

A.

1. As a teacher, I can use spaced retrieval to improve memory for my students. Spaced
retrieval is a learning style that involves long-term learning to recall information over time. It
is based on the idea that it helps improve memory retention by changing the process of
recalling information. I would use flashcards or quizzes as a way to pick up intermediate
material. Provide students with flash cards or quizzes on topics studied. Encourage them
to practice memory from time to time. This can be done individually or in groups. I will also
include regular assessments in my teaching program. These sessions should be spread out
over time, allowing my students to practice recalling previously learned material. For
example, I might schedule a review a week after teaching a particular topic, and then follow
up with another review a month later.

2. Yes because each student has unique strengths and learning styles, and recognizing and
adapting to these differences is essential to ensuring effective learning. Teachers can
create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. By adapting instructional
strategies, teachers can introduce students to various intelligences such as natural
intelligence. This natural intelligence can enhance their learning experience. It refers to the
ability to understand and interact with the natural world, including plants, animals, and the
environment. To incorporate natural intelligence into instruction, teachers can develop
courses that include hands-on experiences in nature, such as outdoor experiments, field
trips to parks or conservatory gardens, or even bring some natural elements into the
classroom. This allows students to explore and develop their strengths and also gives
them the opportunity to develop in challenging areas. Adapting instruction to different
intelligences keeps students engaged, motivated, and academically successful overall.
