SEL School Implementation Narrative Report

Last week of February, the SEL program was implemented across all grade levels at
Caningag Elementary School with a total population of 86 pupils. The program was integrated
into various aspects of the school curriculum and activities to ensure comprehensive coverage
and engagement.
SEL concepts and skills were incorporated into existing subjects. Two teachers in every
school received training on integrating SEL principles into their lesson plans and classroom
activities. We participated in training sessions to deepen their understanding of SEL and
enhance their ability to support students' social and emotional development. Collaboration
opportunities were provided for educators to share best practices and strategies for
implementing SEL in their classrooms. With this program, we have observed that there are a
lot of positive impacts to our pupils which includes increased sense of belonging and inclusivity
among students, reduction in disciplinary incidents and conflicts, enhanced positive
relationships between students and teachers, greater focus and engagement in learning
activities, improved attendance and punctuality, enhanced problem-solving and critical
thinking skills, greater self-awareness and emotional regulation among students, increased
empathy and compassion towards others, and improved conflict resolution and
communication skills.
Therefore, the implementation of the SEL program at Caningag Elementary School
has been instrumental in promoting the social, emotional, and academic growth of our
students.
