LESSON PLAN REFLECTION

I started my lesson with my TLE Cookery Grade 7-section amethyst with a simple differentiated
activity. Group A to visit a small kitchen inside the classroom and look for the kitchen tools and
paraphernalia’s and describe its function. Group B was given with pictures of the kitchen tools and
paraphernalia and its function, match each picture with the corresponding functions, post it on the
board.

Students find it interesting. They are able to do the said activities. Through these activities, student’s
prior ideas on the topic to be discuss was measured. After which I have discussed and introduced the
different types of kitchen tools and paraphernalia, through a multimedia. Students were all attentive
and participative during the lecturette. Guide questions which require higher thinking skills was given
to students for them to understand it well. They were guided all throughout the lesson.

As todays education status were in the “ Pandemic” or new normal form of education, options was
given for students who undergo modular classes. A copy of worksheets was sent to them through a
teacher facilitator and they were given different kinds of activities and opt to choose which is more
suited to their capabilities.

Reflecting on our own teaching will help us understand how our students best learn and will allow us
to be accountable for their progress. By assessing students’ strengths and weaknesses my own
teaching, I believe that I can develop an awareness of the factors that control and prevent learning.

Good teachers have desire, a positive attitude, and take risks. A good teacher knows what motivates
each student, and works with the student as a partner in learning. A good teacher is also competent,
creative and caring.

Therefore, we, as teacher must always designed our lesson in a more interactive, participative and
meaningful way in which our students including those with disabilities can enjoy, understand and
participate actively.

REFLECTION ABOUT APPLICATION OF CODE OF ETHICS

IN TEACHING PRACTICE

A professional code of ethics frameworks our main responsibilities as teachers to our

students and defines our role in our students' lives. Above all, we teachers must

demonstrate integrity, impartiality and ethical behavior in the classroom and in the

conduct with parents and coworkers.

Thoroughly reading and understanding the Code of Ethics, it makes me more aware

of all of my duties and responsibilities as a teacher. This will serve as my guide and

reminder as a public servant.

I believe that if only we are all committed and dedicated to absorb in our lives these

norms, there will be a good and harmonious relationships among learners, teachers,

and stakeholders.

Code of Ethics challenges us to use current trends of knowledge to improve our

teaching practice. Keeping ourselves in the new trends of knowledge through

professional development and continuous learning in education can improve and

enhance out teaching skills, knowledge and ideas to become more productive

teachers and employees in our society.
