REFLECTION JOURNAL
Learner Centered Teaching Philosophy

As I reflect on the academic year as a teacher, I am thrilled to have applied a

learner-centered teaching philosophy that consistently engaged my students in
the teaching-learning process. Throughout the four quarters, I aimed to create a
dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students actively participated,
explored, and discovered the rich cultural heritage, history, and societal issues of
the Philippines. By valuing their interests, experiences, and diverse perspectives, I
strived to empower them as co-creators of knowledge and instill in them a deep
sense of pride in their heritage and a commitment to societal change.. As it
provides adequate designs in emphasizing the needs, capabilities, perspectives,
talents and backgrounds of individual learners. It helps learners to develop their
knowledge and skills for their professional career.

Moreover, needs to have a good relationship or connection with the students,

they can be friends, playmates and that makes the learning more pleasant and
fun. It also encourage students to pay attention and actively participate in the
activities. We were able to use different strategies where students can easily
understand the lesson. Always consider the factors affecting the students learning
process, differences and uniqueness of them. We must ensure that they think
critically and encourage them to have or pply higher order thinking skills to relate
lessons to real life situations.

As teacher teaching Aralin Panlipunan, I am committed to continuously refining

and adapting my teaching practices to better cater to the unique needs and
interests of my students. By placing the learner at the center of the teaching-
learning process, I believe we can inspire cultural appreciation, critical thinking,
civic engagement, and global awareness, empowering our students to become
informed, active, and responsible citizens of the Philippines and the world.

Learner Centered Teaching Philosophy

I have always believed in the importance of a learner-centered approach to

education. Throughout the four quarters of the academic year, I consistently
applied my personal teaching philosophy, which placed the learners at the center
of the teaching-learning process. This reflection journal entry highlights the
various activities and instructions I incorporated into my daily lesson logs (DLLs)
to support a learner-centered approach and the positive outcomes observed in
the teaching-learning process. As I reflect on the academic year as a teacher, I
