What was it?
• Baby boomer,a lot of baby birt or natality in the United States and
other countries in the years immediately following World War II.
• It happened an encrease of more tan 50%, nearly 76 milion babys.
• A lot of countries sufred the baby boom, such as Canada, France,
Spain,…
• Between approximately 1945 and 1965.
Who affected? And factors:
• The baby boom was most prominent among educated and
economically active women.
• The baby boom ended with a significant decline in fertility rates in the
1960s and 1970s, later called the baby bust by demographers.
• Most historians say the baby boomer phenomenon most likely
involved a combination of factors: people wanting to start the families
that they put off during World War II and the Great Depression before
it, and a sense of confidence that the coming era would be peaceful
and prosperous.
