What makes life worth living?

It’s the peacefulness of nature that I am seeking.
As under the weight of my own thought
I am lost in a labyrinth of naught...

Silent shadows of sewn lies,

You can’t escape my watchful eyes!
Consumed by chaos, in the midst of a knot
There’s a fragile haven, a pale blue dot.

My youth is fading under the reign of darkness,

Regrets reflecting a fallen star veiled in its starkness.
Forsaken souls long for a drop of perfection,
Eternalized in frigid passions, from birth to resurrection

The breath of earth, my nurturing home,

Strangled by invisible chains that oppress a warming dome
Aspirations soar high, like a bird up in flight
Its wings clipped by toxins, the evil’s delight

The elixir of life, I see it as a vital singularity,

A gift for evolution, an echo of an illusionary clarity
A divine waterfall that transforms into a mystic raven
Whose claws cleave the heart of my goldfish, the key to my heaven

The fertile womb of my planet gave me roots

Just so that I could feast with gratitude’s fruits
The forest cured my fears, hosting me in a harmonious shrine
And I betrayed it, killing it with a saw that I view as an apocalyptic sign
 I dream of an ideal derived from the riches of diversity
While trying to protect what I love from the menace of perversity
I dare to believe that I can find happiness riding a white rhino
Without fearing that it would vanish like an enigmatic lost dino

There are threats to the very nature of our existence,

A brutal war is raging around me with persistence,
Nuclear death was calling, reminding me of my sorrow
On the horizon I spotted a fragment of peace to borrow

At your feet, there’s an unwritten fate,

A clean future with a blocked gate
Be humble, don’t believe that you’re above everyone else
Inside your mind you find the power to unlock these spells

Don’t be mean, embrace green, love life’s vibrant scene,

Save the world around you, make this a routine!
If you are needed, don’t choose to stay blind
Turn your head, what do you leave behind?
