NOTIFICAT ION

In exercise of powers conferred under Sub-Rule (2) of Rule 5 of Indian Police Service
(Cadre) Rules-1954, and with the concurrence of the Government of Maharashtra and
Government of Uttar Pradesh, the Central Government hereby transfers Shri Abhinav Tyagi,
IFS (MH:2019) from Maharashtra cadre to Uttar Pradesh cadre on the grounds of his marriage
with Ms Ankita Jain, IAS (UP:2021)

1. The Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Mumbai w.r.t their letter No. IFS-
1722/CR. 295/Po1-1 dated 08.09.2022. It is requested that Shri Abhinav Tyagi, IFS
(MH:2019) may be relieved from Maharashtra Cadre with immediate effect with the
direction to report to the Uttar Pradesh Cadre. Relieving report of the officer may be
forwarded to this Ministry.
2. The Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow w.r.t their letter No. 1250
trl'rtuoilotro-2-22-615(10)/22 dated 20.12.2022. The name of Shri Abhinav Tyagi, IFS
(MH:2019) may be placed in the gradation of Uttar Pradesh cadre below all the direct
recruit officers of his category borne on that cadre who have the same year of allotment.
One spare copy of this notification for the officer is also enclosed.
