Human Capital Management Overview.

In this session, we're going to take a look at

the structure of HCM Cloud. We're going to introduce you to Functional Setup
Manager or the Setup and Maintenance Work Area. We'll explain the role and value of
global human resources. And we'll discuss some country and language-specific
support.

Let's start with HCM Cloud. When your organization has decided to license HCM
Cloud, you're licensing certain cloud services so the Global Human Resource Cloud
Service or the Global Payroll US Cloud Service or the Time and Labor Cloud Service,
maybe the Talent Cloud Service and the Recruiting Cloud Service, the Learning Cloud
Service, and so on. So this is really a footprint of our different products that
fall within HCM Cloud.

The focus of this series of training is within Global Human Resources Cloud
Learning Subscription, looking at Core HR and workforce directory. So really, we
need to take a look at the foundation. So in order for you to process a payroll,
you have to have people within the application. If you're going to have people
report absences or time, those folks need to be in the system. And they get into
the system through Core HR.

We're focusing on your required enterprise and workforce structures and your
required people information. That's what we're really looking at in this series of
training. And we'll take a look at the concepts around what has to be configured,
so then your HR specialist can make updates and Core HR. Your employees and your
managers can go into the workforce directory.

Here, we're looking at configuration. If you want to learn more about day-to-day
maintenance, what employees and managers can do, if you're following the Global
Human Resource Learning Path within the Cloud Learning Subscription, there is a
course right after this in the list called using Global Human Resources. And it
really builds upon post implementation what you need to know about the content. But
again, we're focusing on what we need to do to implement.

Once you've implemented, then you hire your employees into the system. Are they
going to be automatically enrolled in accrual plans, and they start to accrue time?
Do they start filling out their time cards? Does their absence time and their work
time go over to payroll, and is it processed?

Are they enrolling in benefits? Are you tracking base compensation or individual
compensation, workforce compensation, total comp? Are you using health and safety
for incident and injury reports? Are you using helpdesk for your shared service
center? Are you using the various talent management products we have, as well as
work life?

When we're talking about configuration, when your environment is first provisioned
by Oracle Cloud Services, your identified Cloud Service administrator at your
organization gets a welcome email. Welcome to Oracle Cloud Services. And they
provide you a series of things to do. Log in to all environments that have been
provisioned. Make sure you can access them. You have a Getting Started list that
you need to complete that's provided by Cloud Services.

And one of the things that you're going to do as part of that is you're going to
log in. And you're going to verify you can access the applications if you're the
Cloud Service administrator. But then, you're going to go and opt in. You're going
to opt in or turn on the offerings and product areas that you plan on implementing.
You have to turn that checkbox on and enable it, or individual users can't do
configuration. So really, Functional Setup Manager or the Setup and Maintenance
work area is really our centralized place to do configuration.
So if I go into the system-- so let's say this is a user ID that was created by
Cloud Services that was included in the email that was sent to your Cloud Service
administrator. When they log in, if they go up to the Settings and Actions menu,
they can select Setup and Maintenance. And this would take them to the Setup and
Maintenance work area or Functional Setup Manager.

Now in our training environment, we've already opted in or configured some

offerings. So it's actually putting us in one of m and that's called Compensation
Management. But when you initially come here, under Actions, you'll see Go to
Offerings. And it's going to take us to the Offerings page. You would look at each
of the offerings depending upon what Cloud Services that you're utilizing, and you
would opt in accordingly.

So for example, Core HR or Global HR is actually part of Workforce Deployment. So

if I highlight that, you can see that it's already been enabled. But initially, it
wouldn't have been. So your Cloud Service administrator would go to Opt In. Then,
we can go to the Features. And once this loads, this is where you're going to see
that you can enable Workforce Deployment. And then once Workforce Deployment's been
enabled, you can enable any of the additional features that are considered under
Workforce Deployment so payroll, for example.

And then within enabling your features, if we drill into the features of payroll,
this is where you're going to be able to see the different countries that you might
want to be processing in payroll. And here too, if you're going to process there,
you would have to enable them. And then once you've enabled your offerings, just
scroll up to the top. You can then go to Setup.

Now certainly, there's going to be many, many discussions on configuration with

your system integrator. But from here, we can get at all the different areas of
setup. And so as I said, we've got a lot of things opted in. Our focus is going to
be Workforce Deployment, so it automatically defaulted us there. But if you're
working within others, you can flip between them.

Now keep in mind, I might be working on some of the items listed here. Other
colleagues on the implementation team might be working on others. But you can see
the very first task here is Initial Users. So if I'm the service administrator,
yes, Oracle Cloud Services has set up a user ID for me to log in and verify. But
I'm certainly not doing this implementation on my own. So one of the first things
is maybe create additional implementation users.

You'll see, as I navigate around, I'm logged in as HCM_IMPL, and in this case, I'm
using 20. In our training environment, we've created HCM_IMPL1 through 20. All
those different users are working on the implementation. And then, this is going to
take them through the different tasks that need to be completed. So as I talk about
your enterprise structures and your work structures and your schedules, your
lookups, you'll see that I'll be accessing this Workforce Deployment. I'll be going
into certain functional areas.

So once I highlight an area to the left-- let's say we'll go to organizational

structures-- it's going to give me some detailed settings on the right. Very
commonly, you're going to want to flip this from Required Tasks to All Tasks. And
you'll see some different things. If we go down to Workforce Structures, again, we
see some Required Tasks. But then when we switch to All tasks, it's giving us a
list of the different things that need to be completed.

So we want you to know that Functional Setup Manager provides an integrated, end-
to-end application setup and administration. It's used by all of the Cloud Fusion
products so whether you're working on part of your HCM implementation, ERP, so on.
So then a little bit more information about examining Global Human Resources. So
Global Human resources enables you to implement business processes that are going
to improve productivity and provide decision-making business process support.

So we have Global Human resources or Core HR. That's made up of your enterprise,
your workforce structure, and your people information. Once you've implemented it,
how do your workers engage with it? Are they using the directory? I need to go
search for someone in the directory, maybe look at their public profile, or contact
them about a question. Do I update my public information so other employees can see
my information? Can I link into other areas of the application?

So some other pieces that you may be working on or implementing, which are not
covered as part of this training, but we do list them as a part of Global HR
Solution Workforce Modeling. So you can create models, allow your managers to
create models on doing reorganizations or layoffs, additional hires. Then they
could submit that model, have it go through approval, and then utilize that
information.

And then workforce predictions is something used with talent review. So it could
use data mining to predict attrition and performance. And based on those
predictions, when you're doing talent review, do you want to evaluate certain
talent and say, what can we do to increase their performance or make sure they
don't leave? And then Workforce Reputation Management or My Brand is a work life
product that you can take an additional look at as well.

So here, we can see View Oracle HR and Payroll Country Extensions. When we talk
about Global Human Resources, we do support from a Core HR perspective over 200
different what we call localizations. And when we talk about that, it falls into
different levels of support. So tier 1, we support maybe field validation, certain
formats for national ID, for example.

When we talk about tier 2, it's all of tier 1 plus things like regulatory
reporting. And then tier 3 would be we also support payrolls. So from a Core HR
perspective, there are over 200. From payroll, it's a shorter list. I think it's
about seven or eight different countries now that we support. But I do want to
point out, if you do have access to My Oracle Support-- I'm going to go back into
the system. And here, we can see that I'm on supportoracle.com. I'm just going to
go ahead and log myself in.

And again, this is not a publicly available website. You do have access to our Help
Center without needing a sign on. But My Oracle Support requires that you be a
client. And then, if I come in here and I'm going to put in a document ID, and then
it brings up the document. And this is going to provide information on localization
support and translation information. So you want to take a look at that if you want
a better understanding of those capabilities.

And then this diagram, our Enterprise and Workforce Structure Setup Sequence, this
is a suggested configuration that we include in our training material. You may or
may not do your configuration this same way when you're working on implementation
as a system integrator or as a client because there are certainly things that can
be done at the same time by different people, so concurrent tasks.

Where we would say that this has to go in a certain order is if there's any parent-
child relationships. For example, you can't create a position unless you've already
defined your business units, your departments, and your jobs because those are
required fields on the position. But certainly, one group of people could be
creating locations. Another group of people could be doing jobs. Another group of
people could be doing departments.

And then we also have common application configuration that you may or may not be
utilizing. And there are some things that are not required to be altered but are
delivered. And we'll see some of that in a later session. But we're going to work
our way through this diagram in this course.

So when you complete the tasks or table set up in Oracle Human Capital Management
Cloud, you must load the tables in the suggested or predefined sequence. The
sequence must consider the data dependencies in the system. So this diagram
consists of the Oracle HCM recommended order of tables. You can create your
predefined order of tables and values for some tasks independent of each other.

So that's going to take us through this session. We did an overview of HCM Cloud
and its footprint. We talked a little bit about integration points. And then I took
you into Functional Setup Manager for the first time, talked about Workforce
Deployment, and opting into that offering. We explained the value of Global Human
Resources and also discussed a little bit about country and language support.
