Methodology

Research Design

The research design that will be used on this study is the Quantitative Descriptive

research design. Graphs and numbers are used to represent quantitative research. It is used to

validate or put to the test beliefs and presumptions. A topic's generalizable facts can be

established through this kind of study. Experiments, observations that are quantified, and surveys

with closed-ended questions are examples of common quantitative procedures (Streefkerk R.,

2019). A descriptive research strategy can study one or more variables using a wide range of

research techniques. Contrary to experimental research, the researcher just observes and

measures the variables in this type of study (McCombes S., 2019). Hence, our research design is

Quantitative Descriptive. The goal of the study is to determine how efficient enzymatic

hydrolysis is on bio-ethanol production, how much bio-ethanol or how high the quality of the

bio-ethanol that is produced using enzymatic hydrolysis while using vegetable wastes as the

main subject. It is suited on describing how much bio-ethanol it can produce using vegetable

wastes and how efficient it is. To begin the study, the researchers shall search for vegetable

wastes to be used for the research study. The researchers will also gather materials that are to be

used. The study area has an importance with respect to household activities, lessening the

pungent odor, lessening of fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster).

Research Setting

The study area is located in the Northeastern part of the city of Cagayan de Oro. Four

kilometers and 800 meters (4.8km) away from the city proper. It is bounded on

Participants of the Study

Plant participants. The study involves plants, specifically vegetable wastes. The

researchers will use vegetable wastes and as such will make use of all its parts. The researchers

will use such vegetable wastes that has lasted for less than a week. Approximately, 10 kilograms

of vegetable wastes is to be utilized in the research. The researchers will also use vegetable

wastes that are rotten but not ones that are too much like so.

Human participants. The researchers are the human participants. The researchers are 14-15

years of age, Male and are highschool students.

Data Analysis

The primary data that we will be collecting are the pre-test and the post-test of the

communication, conceptual understanding, and the creativeness and collaboration test. The data

will be analyzed using the mean, standard deviation and analysis of variance.
