Section 1: Review

When first joining this course I wanted to build my confidence in my acting ability and to learn how to effectively
annotate a script to best find mood changes in scenes. However during my time at BTA I have learnt so much
more. I have learnt many new ways to create theatre. Through movement sessions i have found how to
comfortably move my body and to move it with others in an ensembles style. I have also learnt how to direct
ensemble groups and have honestly really enjoyed directing the groups I did.I have also learnt proper warm up
techniques for my voice, my body and even my mind before sessions. I have learnt how to structure monologu
and note others work, along with effectively creating character relationships with fellow actors. I have also learn
how to build a world for an actor from a director or writers point of view. I have grown as a creative in so many
workshops, led by practitioners and by fellow classmates. Most importantly however, I have learnt to be confide
in what I know and what I can do. The work i have acheived over the past two years has made me excited to
experiment it Directing as well as acting, particularly on screen. This is because i have found a comfortable sty
for me which is extremely naturalistic and so tends to look best on screen rather than anything else.

Section 2: Project Concept

The FMP we are doing this year is Little Shop of Horrors directed by Lydia cook. The show itself esentially follo
Seymour and his discovery of a carnivorous plant. Within our first couple sessions with Lydia we immediately
knew that we wanted to do a vibrant camp version of Little Shop of Horrors. I think there was a cast agreemen
that we didnt want to stem too far away from the Original play but we wanted to see how we could stylise the s
and even Audrey 2. I think initially we saw a challenge when finding out we couldnt have a puppet Audrey 2, bu
quickly worked together to come up with different versions of alternatives.

Something that made me massively excited to do this show was not only my past knowledge of it but also how
were going to do ensemble scenes and how we were going to accurtely portray the main cast without being co
paste characters. I think it will be important during this process to work as a team to agree on what we want the
show to look like and how we want it to feel.

Section 3: Evaluation
When in the process of creating the show i will evaluate m work in multiple different ways to make sure that i a
picking up my notes well and so that i can actively remember what we do in each session. One of the ways i w
evaluate my work is by carrying a notebook on me in which i will write notes that i get from ur director alog with
own notes to help me remember dance moves and other movement based work. Another way i will evaluate m
work is by taking lots of videos and pictures when in the rehearsal sessions, to help me remember what we did
sessions but also to help me see the bigger picture of the show in general. I think these photos would also be n
to have as they will be nice reminders of our FMP and they can be put on our websites to make them feel more
personalised. Another way i will evaluate my work is by doing weekly written reflections that will be posted onto
website in blog form. This will help me keep up with my progress throughout the weeks.
