CONTNOUS Design Margine for air loss through leackages (15%) 7.38
DEMAND Design Margine for uncertainty in IA demands (15%) 7.38

Max. Instrument Air Demand (Note 4)

Note 1: The above IA consumption list includes the consumptions of instrumentation within the plant
excluding package units. The estimation for IA consumption for package units is reflected in Process
document "Utility Consumption List".

Note 2: Estimation of IA consumption for analyzers is based on GC type analyzer. IA consumption for
analyzers are varied with respect to the analyzer type.

Note 3: It is assumed analyzers located in hazardous area are Explosion proof design (Exd) not
Exp (purge type). For any analyzer with Exp design, app. 30 m3/h continous IA consumption should be
foreseen. Also, it is assumed there is no vortex cooler in the analyzer panels (electrical cooler is used).

Note 4: Simultaneous Factor (for Intermittent Consumers) = 1
