Hugo in 2020 when he joined my Welding Technology course. Hugo displayed a natural aptitude
for welding and has since set his sights on pursuing a career in the field, with potential
aspirations of becoming a welding instructor.

Hugo's commitment to the welding industry is evident through his active involvement in the
welding team at El Capitan High School. He has achieved an AWS certification 3G, limited
thickness in SMAW—an accomplishment uncommon among high school students, typically
attained at the college or technical school level. Hugo's presence in the welding shop was
consistent; he spent mornings, lunch breaks, and often afternoons refining his skills in SMAW,
GMAW, OFC, and GTAW. His profound knowledge and unwavering dedication bode well for a
successful career in welding.

Hugo stands out as a student of extraordinary caliber, excelling in all endeavors he undertakes.
Within our department, his name frequently surfaces in discussions as a paradigm of dedication
to personal and professional growth. Hugo embodies intelligence, talent, kindness, and an
