3/7 PATCH NOTES

The Castle now starts with 20 health instead of 25! DO NOT PANIC, early game
mechanics have been completely retuned around this number and it is overall much
harder to kill early.
Several existing cards have had their wording consolidated under the new "Uncover"
keyword. "Uncover: View 3 cards. Choose one to add to your hand."
A new Viking keyword, SHATTER, has been added! Shatter units deal double damage to
frozen enemies, and deal 1 damage to all enemies if they destroy the target.
The Ninja keyword REPLACE has been redesigned. It now simply transforms the target
into the Replace unit. This allows more ninja cards to interact with the mechanic
without overstuffing the game with bounce cards.
Tombstones have been redesigned. They now spawn behind the player's castle in a row
like a graveyard, are specifically owned by each player instead of shared, and are
immune to most damage. Effects that consume tombstones to summon units no longer
summon at the position of the tombstone. Many further small tweaks have been done
to allow them to function more like a reliable resource that does not get in the
way of gameplay.
Charging units' Cleave will no longer strike the enemy Castle or Supply Depot on
the same turn they are played.
Proc abilities will no longer activate while a unit is Inert.
Artillery can now attack Guardians while they are currently guarding a building.
Supply Depot: Destroying the supply depot now draws a card from your own deck
instead of copying an opponent card. HP increased to 5.
Trap Runes can now only activate during the opponent's turn (like other traps).

End of Days: Now only destroys units. Cost reduced to 9 (was 10).
Luminarus: Now only damages enemy units. Cost reduced to 4 (was 5).
Wyvern Rider: Redesigned. Costs 7. 3/7 "Shatter, Charge. Warcry: Frostbite 2 random
enemy units."
Ronin: Redesigned. "Guardian. Warcry: If you have no other units, gain +2/+2."
Salahar Rider: Now has Charge instead of Guardian. Stats changed to 1/2 (was 2/2).
Lava Font: Costs 3. Now only strikes units.
Man the Cannons: Redesigned. Costs 3. "Fire cannonballs that deal 2 damage at 3
random enemy units. If you still have less units, fire 2 more."
Dracula's Castle: Now restores 1 health after dealing 1 damage, but ability cost
increased to 3 (was 2).
Yaarhym Lightning: Now only hits units. Cost reduced to 3 (was 4).
Multistrike: Redesigned. Costs 3. "Deal 2 damage to a unit and 4 damage to a second
unit."
Landshark: Redesigned. Costs 4. 5/4 "Warcry: Gain Charge if an enemy unit is
injured."
Expose Weakness: Redesigned. Cost 3, "Destroy an injured unit." Renamed "Exploit
Weakness"
Ancient Arbor: Now gives your Castle +4 Health when played. Health reduced to 8
(was 9).
Alustran Pyromancer: Redesigned. Now costs 2. 3/2 "Warcry: Deal 3 damage randomly
split among ALL other units."
Mortar: Redesigned. "Deal 2 damage to 2 random enemy units."
Salvation: Redesigned. Heal your Castle for 5. If your Castle has 5 HP or less,
heal for 10 instead.
Deadeye: Redesigned. 2/3 "Warcry: If there are at least 2 enemy units in play,
destroy the one with the least health."
Headless Horseman: Cost reduced to 3 (was 4). Stats reduced to 3/2 (was 3/3). Now
damages a random friendly unit for 3 instead of your Castle.
Essence of Hatred: Redesigned. Costs 3. "Give a unit -5/-5. If it has 0 Attack,
destroy it."
Curse of Exhaustion: Redesigned. Costs 1. "Give ALL units -1 Attack. Destroy any
that have 0 Attack."
Hypothermia: Debuff changed to -2/-2.
Reckless Firemancer: Redesigned. 4/3 "Charge. Warcry: Deal 2 damage to your
Castle."
Minotaur: Redesigned. Costs 10. 6/9 "Charge, Double Strike"
Fencer: Redesigned. 3/2 "Warcry: Gain Charge if you played another card this turn."
Cosmic Equation: Redesigned. Costs 5. "Copy the stats from one unit to another."

Polar Bear: Now has Shatter instead of Guardian. Stats reduced to 3/5 (was 4/5).
Yennaroth: Now has Shatter. Changed to affect Frost spells instead of Frost cards.
Yaarhym Titan: Redesigned. 4/8 "Guardian, Shatter."
Halls of Frost: Redesigned. "When your turn ends, add a random Frost card to your
hand. Lasts 2 turns."
Vaskrheim Penguin: Now has Shatter. Attack bonus reduced to +1 (was +2).
Vaskrheim Warrior: Now costs 4. Gained Shatter. No longer deals damage to itself.
Stats changed to 4/4.
Merchant's Estate: Redesigned. Now costs 1. "Gains 1 gold when your turn begins.
Last 2 turns."
Merchant's Favor: Redesigned. Now costs 3. "Increase your max gold by (1). If you
reach 10, draw a card."
Salahar Voyager: Redesigned. Costs 4. 3/2 "Warcry: Increase your max gold by (1).
If you reach 10, draw a card."
Trap Door Ninja: Now costs 4 (was 3). Trap drawn only costs (0) for one turn. Stats
changed to 3/4.
Barbarian: Redesigned. Costs 5. 2/5 "Berserk. Your other units have +1 Attack."
Spellsurge Adept: Redesigned. Costs 4. 3/5 "Whenever you play a spell, this gains
+1 Attack."
Dancing Swords: Effect changed to "Give a random friendly unit +2 Attack." Health
reduced to 1.
Gorilla Fighter: Redesigned. Costs 2. 2/3 "Warcry: Your next trap costs (2) less."
Friendly Giant: Redesigned. Costs 5 4/1 "Guardian. Warcry: Gain +1 Health for each
card in your hand."
Centaur: Redesigned. "1/3 Warcry: Give all units in your hand +1 Health."
Berserker: Redesigned. "Berserk. Gains +2 Attack each time it takes damage."
The Rat King: Redesigned. Now costs 5. "Warcry: Summon 3 Rats. Gain +1/+1 for each
other friendly unit in play."
Shield Runner: Redesigned. 2/3 "Gains +1 Attack each time its max health is
increased."
Northwood Bear: Redesigned. 2/5 "Guardian. Warcry: Gain +2/+2 if you are holding a
less expensive unit."
Northwood Ranger: Redesigned. Now costs 3. 4/3 "Warcry: If you have an injured
unit, deal 3 damage amongst all enemies."
Chaotic Storm: Redesigned. Costs 5. "Deal 4 damage amongst enemies, and summon a
random 4-cost unit."

Grendel: Redesigned. 5/6 "Warcry: Discard the top 2 cards of your deck. Gain +1
Attack for each."
Hidden Intent: Redesigned. Costs 3. "Replace ANY unit with a random one that costs
(2) more if a friend, or (2) less if an ally."
Kage: Redesigned. Costs 4. 4/4 "When this is Replaced, return it to your hand and
it costs (0). Warcry: Deal 1 damage to 3 random enemies."
Mystic Inversion: Redesigned. Costs 2. "Swap a unit's Attack and Health. Draw a
card."
Dwarven Mithril: Now gives Health instead of Armor.
Beastmaster: Redesigned. Costs 7. "Guardian. Warcry: Summon 3 random Beasts that
cost (2) or less."
Adaptive Armor: Armor choice changed to +2 Health instead. Heal reduced to 3.
Battle Cry: Cost increased to 3 (was 2). Secondary choice now always summons a 4/3
Master-at-Arms instead of a random 2 drop.
Salahar Spitefish: Redesigned. 3/3 "Last Will: Deal 2 damage to the enemy Castle."
Manticore: Now only dispels units. HP increased to 4 (was 3).
Hand of Judgment: Redesigned. Now costs 1. "Set a unit's Attack to 1."
Burnout: Cost reduced to 1. Now only gives Fire spells (was any spell).
Library: Redesigned. "When your turn ends, draw a card if you discarded this turn."
Stegosaurus: Redesigned. 2/8 "Guardian. Has +6 Attack while at full health."
Professor Headwood: Redesigned. 2/6. "Whenever you discard a card, play a random
harmful effect on a random enemy."
Raptor: Redesigned. 2/1 "Warcry: Uncover a Dinosaur."
Fire Drake: Redesigned. 3/2 "Warcry: Your next Fire spell costs (1) less."
Spirit Blast: Redesigned. "Deal 2 damage to a unit. If it survives, summon a Spirit
Drake."
Spirit Drake: Redesigned. 3/2 "Replace a unit to gain Elusive."
Camouflage: Redesigned. Costs 1. "Give a unit Elusive. If it has 3 or less Attack,
draw a card."
War Party: Redesigned. Costs 5. "Summon a random 1, 2, and 3-Cost unit."
Sunflower: Redesigned. 1/1 "Gains +1/+1 each time is it healed beyond full health."
Great White Shot: No longer a Sniper. Costs 1. Stats changed to 1/3. Now damages
ALL injured units (not just enemies).
Sayaka Yuna: Redesigned. Costs 3. 4/3 "Warcry: If you played exactly 2 other cards
this turn, deal 6 damage amongst enemies."
Cleric: Redesigned. Costs 1. 1/2 "Warcry: Add a random healing spell to your hand."
Dwarf Paladin: Redesigned. 2/5 "Cleave. Warcry: Heal all allies for 3."
Frost Drake: Redesigned. 3/2 "Warcry: Frostbite an enemy."
Frost Giant: Redesigned. 2/8 "Frostbite any target damaged by this unit."
Skeletal Warrior: Redesigned. Costs 2. 3/1 "Last Will: Draw a Skeleton."
Arctic Explorer: Stats changed to 2/3 (was 1/3). Now allows you to pick from 3
Frost units. Frost units are now labeled with a card tag, and additional units have
been labeled as Frost units.
Frost Blast: Redesigned (slightly). Costs 2: "Deal 2 damage to a unit and Frostbite
it."
Blade Mantis: Redesigned. Costs 3. 4/3 "Warcry: Destroy a friendly unit to draw a
card."
Eternity Strike: Redesigned. New name Final Strike. Costs 10. "Destroy a friendly
unit. Deal its Attack damage to all enemies."
Iceweaver: Redesigned. Costs 1. 2/1 "Warcry: Add a Frost Blast to your hand."
Dragon Egg: Cost increased to 2, but the summoned Drake now has +1/+2.
Flame Prince: Cost reduced to 3 (was 4). Stats reduced to 4/2 (was 5/3). Now
activates when you are holding any spell, not just a Fire spell.
Cannoneer: Cost reduction is now 1 (was 2).
Smuggling Ring: Redesigned. Costs 3. "Add a 1, 2, and 3-Cost Contraband to your
hand."
Manfish: Redesigned. Costs 3. 3/3 stats. "Warcry: If you are holding another Sea
Monster, add a 3-Cost Contraband to your hand."
Plea of the Righteous: Redesigned. "Give a unit +2 Health and your Castle +3
Health."
Pterodactyl: Redesigned. 3/2 "Warcry: Draw a card. If it's a dinosaur, it costs (1)
less."
Wraps of Mending: Heal reduced to 4 (was 5).
Circle of Life: Heal reduced to 3 (was 4).
Soul Steal: Now deals 2 damage to the enemy unit instead of -1/-1. Is now castable
without a friendly target to buff.
Priest: Redesigned. Costs 1. 2/1 "Warcry: Heal any target for 2."
Resourceful Privateer: Contraband gained is now 3-cost. Stats increased to 3/4 (was
3/3).
Celestial Archives: Now just draws 3 cards.
Shipboard Gunner: Redesigned. Costs 5. 2/4 "Artillery. Costs 1 less for each enemy
unit in play."
Mugging: Redesigned. "Deal 1 damage. Gain 1 Treasure."
Saltwater Crocodile: Redesigned. Costs 4. 5/3 "Warcry: Destroy a unit with 1 health
to gain +1/+1."
Haunted Pumpkin: Redesigned. 2/1 "Last Will: Add a random Undead to your hand."
Sacrifical Knife: Cost reduced to 2. Now draws 2 cards.
Troll Gunner: Redesigned. Costs 2. 2/3 "Warcry: If your max gold is (7) or more,
gain +2/+2."
Wight Knight: Redesigned. 3/2 "Last Will: Use a Tombstone to summon a 4/1 Wight
Knight Reborn."
Ninja Training: Redesigned. Costs 1. "Uncover a card from your deck."

Raise Dead: Now costs 2, raises 2 zombies from 1 Tombstone, and they do not have
Charge.
Army of the Dead. Now costs 2, but consumes 2 Tombstones.
Perched Ambusher: No longer has an ammo limit.
Nadrahvil Hunter: No longer has an ammo limit. Now shuffles one beast with +2/+2.
Archer: Now costs 3. No longer has an ammo limit. Now has "Warcry: Deal 1 damage."
Journey of Faith: No longer draws a card, only sends 1 to the bottom. Cost reduced
to (0).
Evolution: Redesigned. Costs 3. "Transform all units into a random unit of the same
type costing (1) more."
Skeletal Squire: Redesigned. Costs 2. 1/4 "Warcry: Use a Tombstone to give a
friendly unit +1 Attack."
Flame Entity: Redesigned. Costs 3. 3/2 "While this is in your hand, it gains +1/+1
each time you cast a Fire spell."
Skeletal Dog: Redesigned. 1/2 "Warcry: Gain +1 Attack for each of your Tombstones."
Dark Magician: Redesigned. Costs 4. 4/4. "Warcry: Use a Tombstone to gain a random

Altar of Fire: Redesigned. Now draws a card instead of summoning a random unit, and
only deals 2 damage to Castle. Only usable once per turn.
Hawk: Redesigned. 1/2 "Charge, Elusive"
Friend of Dragons: Redesigned. Add 2 random Drakes to your hand. Drakes played this
turn cost (0), and gain +1/+1 and Charge.
Harpy: Redesigned. 1/2 "b-Warcry-b: Deal 2 damage to your Castle to draw a card."
Draconic Temple: Now adds a random Dragon instead of a random Drake.
Dwarven Miner: Redesigned. Costs 3. 1/3 "Damage Dealt: Draw a card."
Dwarven Blacksmith: Now copies any card in your hand costing (1) or more (not
just items). Stats reduced to 1/3.
Sensei: Redesigned. Costs 2. 2/1 "Warcry: Draw a card. If it's a unit, give it +1
Attack."
Reanimate: No longer has restrictions (works with Madness).
Overpower: Redesigned. Renamed to "Bestial Rage". "Deal 2 damage to a unit. If you
are holding a Beast, also deal 1 damage to a random enemy unit."
Armory: Redesigned. Costs 2. "When your turn ends, add a random Item to your hand.
Lasts 2 turns."
Omega Strike: Redesigned. Costs 2. "Deal 2 damage to a unit. If you played a unit
this turn, deal another 2."
Spear of Odin: Cost increased to 3. Give a unit +2/+2, or deal 4 damage to a unit.
Shadow Katana: Damage choice can only affect units, but deals 3 damage. Attack
bonus reduced to 1 (was 2).
Courthouse: Redesigned. Costs 5. Whenever a friendly unit dies, draw a card and it
costs (1) less. Lasts 2 turns.
Infestation: Now shuffles the rats into your own deck instead of the opponent, and
increased to 3 rats. Cost reduced to 2.
Chaotic Mage: Redesigned. 3/2. "Warcry: Cast a random spell costing (3) or less on
another unit."
Tunnel Collapse: Redesigned. Costs 3. "Add random Dwarves to your hand with +1/+1."
Realm of the Builder: Cost increased to 4. No longer copies your opponent's
buildings.
Maul: Redesigned. Renamed "Wild Strikes". Costs 2. "Deal 3 damage to a unit, and 1
damage to all other units."
Pack Hunting: Cost reduced to 3 (was 5). Copy count reduced to 1 (was 2).
Freya: Now gives Charge instead of Berserk. Now only applies to units that were
previously summoned (this fixes an infinite combo).
Brewery: Redesigned. Costs 3. "When your turn ends, gain a random neutral unit with
+1/+1. Lasts 2 turns."
Horseback Samurai: Redesigned. Costs 8. 6/5 "Charge, Elusive. When this attacks,
deal 2 damage to two random enemy units."
Baby Dino: Redesigned. 1/1. "Last Will: Summon a 2/1 Velociraptor."
Triceratops: Now has Charge. Stats reduced to 2/4 (was 3/5).
Shadow Strike: Now a Choice card. "Choose One - Give a unit +2 Attack this turn; or
deal 2 damage to a unit."
Dark Bargain: Redesigned. Costs 2. "Destroy a friendly unit to draw a card. It
costs (1) less."
Kunai: Redesigned. Costs 1. "Deal 1 damage to 2 random enemies. If you played a
unit this turn, do this again."
Dwarven Weapons: Redesigned. Costs 2. "Give all units in your hand +1 Attack. Draw
a card."
Winds of the North: Now only pushes 1 space.
Lightning Bolt: Now costs 1, but can only strike units.
Heavenclaw: Redesigned. 4/5. "Charge. When this attacks and slays an enemy unit, it
can attack again."
Kunoichi: Redesigned. 3/2. "Replace a unit that costs (5) or less to return it to
your hand."
Mooncaster: Redesigned. Costs 2. 2/1 "Replace a unit to shuffle it into your deck.
This copies its stats."
Santa: Redesigned. Costs 3. 3/4. "Last Will: Add a random Item to each player's
hand."
Burning Sun: Redesigned. Renamed to "Dragon Eclipse". Costs 4. "Summon 2 random
Drakes. Costs (1) less if you've healed this turn."
Corpse Explosion: Redesigned. Costs 2. "Use a Tombstone to deal 2 damage to 3
random enemy units."
Screams of the Fallen: Now only charges when it is in your hand. Improved UI and
animations to make the damage value much clearer.
Faithful Drake: Redesigned. 2/4. "Warcry: Add a random Knight to your hand."
Soul Destroy: Redesigned. Costs 6. "Destroy a unit. It cannot be resurrected."
Typhoon Burst: Now only moves 1 space (was 2).
Sabotage: Now view the top 3 cards of the opponent's deck instead of their hand.
Dwarven Greed: Redesigned. "Discard a card to gain 2 Treasure. If you have a Dwarf
in play, gain 1 more."
Kabuki Mask: Now uses the Replace keyword.
Dragon's Fire: Now splits excess damage among enemy units (instead of all targets).

Norabon the Lich: Stats increased to 5/5 (was 2/2).


Kaijr: Now allows the player to choose the destroyed building.
Brontosaurus: Cost reduced to 6 (was 7). Stats reduced to 4/9 (was 4/11).
Tyrannosaur: Cost reduced to 7 (was 8). Stats reduced to 4/7 (was 6/8).
War Elephant: Stats changed to 2/6 (was 2/5).
Acolyte: Stats changed to 3/1 (was 1/2). Cost increased to 3 (was 2).
Con Artist: Cost reduced to 2 (was 3). Stats reduced to 2/3 (was 3/3). Price
increase reduced to 1.
Explosives Expert: Cost reduced to 2 (was 3). Attack increased to 2 (was 1).
Beast Mode: Cost reduced to 2 (was 3).
Nunchuk Nun: Cost reduced to 3, and stats increased to 3/4. Now summons two 1/1
copies instead of a direct copy.
Imp: Stats increased to 1/2 (was 1/1).
Wraiths: Cost reduced to 3 (was 4).
Dragon Knight: Stats increased to 3/4 (was 2/4).
Chaotic Mage: Cost reduced to 1 (was 2).
Killer Monkey: Stats changed to 2/1 (was 1/2).
Mercenary Execution: Damage increased to 5 (was 3).
Archdruid Leanna: Cost reduced to 6 (was 8).
Hidden in the Walls: Cost reduced to 3.
Burst of Strength: Cost increased to 5 (was 4).
Doormaster: Cost reduced to 2 (was 3). Stats changed to 2/3. Now has Guardian as
well.
Baptism of Fire: Cost reduced to 4 (was 5).
Pegacorn: Cost reduced to 4 (was 5). Attack reduced to 3 (was 4).
Bandit: HP increased to 2 (was 1).
Frog Prince: Stats changed to 3/3 (was 2/4).
Preparation: Now costs 3. Stat bonus reduced to +1/+1 (was +2/+2).
Mordanoth: Attack increased to 5 (was 4). Now drains 2 health per skeleton instead
of dealing 3 damage.
Bone Drake: Cost changed to 2 (was 3). Stats changed to3/2, and buff changed to
+1/+1.
Spiney: HP reduced to 2 (was 3).
Green Drake: Stats increased to 3/2 (was 2/2).
Wolf: Cost increasted to 3 (was 2). Stats increased to 3/3 (was 1/2).
Harpy: HP increased to 3 (was 2).
Earth Knight: Heal increased to 3 (was 2). Stats changes to 2/7 (was 4/6).
Skeletal Pirate: Stats changed to 2/1 (was 1/3). Drawn Last Will unit now costs (1)
less.
Sea Witch: Stats increased to 4/2 (was 3/2).
Treant: Squirrels are now summoned on Warcry instead of Last Will.
Protective Reindeer: Stats changed to 1/7 (was 3/5).
Season of Growth: Cost reduced to 4 (was 5).

Lionel: Stats reduced to 5/5 (was 5/6). Sets units to 2/2 (was 3/3).
The Kraken: Stats reduced to 8/8 (was 10/10).
Vileroth: Cost reduced to 7 (was 8).
Rejuvenate: Heal reduced to 2 (was 3).
Magmasaur: Cost increased to 6. Stats changed to 4/5.
Wizard: Stats increased to 3/2 (was 3/1).

Witch Doctor: Effect increased to -3/-3 (was -2/-2).

Phantom Horse: HP reduced to 3 (was 4). Effect now kills units if they have 0
Attack.

Swordsman: Attack increased to 5 (was 4). Cost reduced to 8 (was 9).
Drain Life: Now costs 1 (was 3). Damage reduced to 2 (was 3).
Darksea Summoner: Stats reduced to 3/3 (was 2/5).
Owlbear: Cost increased to 6. Stats increased to 6/5.
Perched Ambusher: Cost reduced to 5 (was 6).
Torgen: Cost increased to 5 (was 4). Stats increased to 4/3 (was 3/3).
Gorgon: Now costs 4 (was 3), stats increased to 5/4 (was 4/3).
Trebuchet: Stats reduced to 2/3 (was 2/4).
Fat Bard: Stats changed to 2/1 (was 1/2). Health bonus reduced to 1 (was 2). Now
affects any ally.
Headmaster Sarus: Stats increased to 7/6.
Scoutbird: Cost changed to 3 (was 2). Stats changed to 3/3 (was 2/3).

Maldran: Stats changed to 5/7 (was 4/8).
School of Time: Cost increased to 7.
Dojo: Effect reduced to +2/+1 (was +2/+2).
Stone Wall: Cost changed to 2, and wall HP changed to 3.
Sacred Ground: Dispel effect changed to "Dispel all units and destroy all summoned
buildings." This is the same result for all intents and purposes, but it's much
clearer from the text how this will actually affect the board.
