To whom it may concern,

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Kaedon Thao, a current
senior at El Capitan High School. I have known Kaedon since August of 2023, when he enrolled
in my precalculus class. Ever since enrolling in my class, Kaedon has demonstrated the
following characteristics: hardworking, persistent and ambitious. He never backs down from
challenges he faces in my class, critically thinks when problem solving, and is not afraid to be
wrong, as he will keep trying and thinking of ways to understand the content he is learning.

Beyond my classroom, Kaedon is a high achieving student with a competitive 3.5 GPA.
Throughout his academic endeavors he has demonstrated a strong work ethic, a drive to learn,
and a commitment to secure academic excellence. All of which are characteristics of a strong,
determined individual.

Kaedon shows great interest in the fields of medicine, as he is currently enrolled in the career and
technical education program of Medical Technology at El Capitan high school. In this program,
he gains hands-on experience as a medical technician, as well as gains the social and emotional
skills needed to be successful in this field. Kaedon plans on taking on this career path in the
future by attending California State University, Stanislaus to major in Pre-Nursing, and receive
his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After receiving his Bachelor's degree, Kaedon plans on
becoming a registered nurse, obtaining a Master’s degree, and becoming a family nurse
practitioner.

Aside from academics, Kaedon shows a great involvement and appreciation for his community.
He was president of the Asian Cultural Club, and part of the Lao Family Community Inc. His
involvement in these extracurriculars gave him the opportunity to educate others on rich Asian
cultural practices, as well as assist at significant cultural events such as Hmong New Year.

It is clear that Kaedon is not only interested in being successful in the field of Nursing, he also
strives to educate others on Asian Culture and be a contributing member of his community. I
recommend Kaedon Thao for any scholarship or institution he wishes to apply to.
