2. In a separate sheet make an observation on how communication went through with your group
discussion and the decision you made when it came to the company you wish to apply to. Do not
exceed more than 500 words.

The first thing that we did is that we listed different companies that can be a candidate for an internship
application. After we listed our preferred companies, there is one company that appears in both of our list.
We decided that this will be the one that we were going to use for the activity and this is SyCip Gorres
Velayo & Co. also known as SGV & Co. We chose SGV & Co. as our company to apply for internship
because it is one of the Philippines' most prestigious and renowned professional services firms, particularly
in the field of accounting and auditing. SGV & Co. serves a wide range of clients across various industries.
Interning there exposes us to a wide range of industries and clients, providing insights and learning about
various business sectors. As an intern, we will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals
in the fields of accounting, and auditing services. We will gain hands-on experience and practical skills that
can be highly beneficial for our future career. We also learned that SGV & Co. typically offers structured
training and development programs for interns. Another reason is that having SGV & Co. on our resume
can significantly boost our credibility and appeal to future employers. It's a recognized name in the industry
and a testament to our commitment to our field. After finding the right company to apply to, we then
pointed out necessary information about ourselves like our educational background, skills and knowledge
about the field, what we can offer to the company and what are the reasons they should hire us. Then we
started writing the actual letter of intent. It was fun because it felt like we are actually applying for a job.
After doing the activity we came up with a conclusion that finding the right company for an internship is a
critical decision that can have a lasting impact on your career. It's important to research and evaluate
potential companies, consider your goals and values, and seek opportunities that align with your
professional aspirations. A well-chosen internship can be a stepping stone toward a successful and fulfilling
career.
