DESIGN PROPOSAL

Proposed alongside the banks of the Iloilo River is a plan for a 2-hectare Recreational Park and River
Promenade, which aims to provide a relaxing destination for people of all ages. This park will feature areas
recreational activities, encouraging families and residents to come together for fun and leisure. Moreover, the
addition of plants and trees will contribute to the natural beauty of the area.
Furthermore, the park will prioritize inclusivity by ensuring that pathways are easily accessible to all,
promoting safety and security for visitors. Additionally, sustainable landscaping practices will be implemented
to protect the environment and promote stewardship of natural resources.
Given its location near a bridge, the park will serve as a convenient retreat for leisurely walks and
fitness activities. It will also become a focal point for community gatherings, attracting residents from nearby
residential areas. The Design will also presents an excellent opportunity to showcase the rich culture of Iloilo,
celebrating the pride of its people through Installations of public arts and various cultural events and activities.
Moreover, its proximity to commercial developments and important institutions such as hospitals and schools
will further enhance its accessibility and appeal to a wide range of visitors.
In the context of Iloilo City's development, initiatives like the proposed Recreational Park and River
Promenade align with the city's efforts to create vibrant and inclusive public spaces that contribute to the
