THE FAÇADE PERSPECTIVE
 DESIGN PROBLEM
To design a people’s park with a layout of design
articulating the design system.
This includes the topography and general design for the
people’s park.
The People’s Park provide spaces for park users and
visitors. It must contain a gymnasium and other amenities
for the people according to the situational demands to the
space requirements.
The designer may add facility or spaces which deemed
any necessary for better service to the public.

 PROJECT OVERVIEW

People’s Park is an open space

recreational area to promote the social
well-being characterized by an intent to
design spaces for all members of the
community. It is a wide cultural themed
park featuring man-made falls, fountains,
playground and a gymnasium.

 DESIGN OBJECTIVES
1.To design a multi-functional and well-
distributed public open space that
incorporate natural and cultural features
of Sta Ana, Cagayan.
2.To promote sustainable landscaping
that resolves ecological issues.
3.To provide a variety of recreational and
public uses that encourages community
issues.
 DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

“ EVERY GREAT DESIGN BEGINS WITH AN EVEN BETTER STORY

AND A RESPONSE OF A PARTICULAR PLACE.”

The design philosophy of our site plan, floor plan as well as forms of
the structures were about the practice and culture of Sta Ana. It is
inspired by the important factors that makes Sta Ana, Cagayan a
known rich province for its people which can be reflected to its whole
site design.
 DESIGN CONCEPT

SEASHORE LINE
Sta Ana, Cagayan is known as the “Boracay of the North”. The open
spaces for recreational areas and uses were formed and divided like a
sea shore line in order to represent and reflect the sea shore line on the
beaches of Sta Ana.

VIRAY FESTIVAL
Viray Festival is the annual thanksgiving event for the town’s
bountiful sea harvest. Viray meaning “boat “ is the concept form for our
structures. The form of these were shaped like a boat that shows
representation of the Viray Festival.
