Task 1: The chart shows the production levels of main fuels in a

European country from 1981 to 2000

The line chart compare and contrast the data on the changes in
production levels of 3 main fuels, in a 20-year-period, measured in
millions tonnes. Overall, all of these fuels increased by time, Petroleum
hold the biggest amount while the Coal remained stable in the end.

Specifically, in 1981, Coal reported for approximately 80 Million tons

which is 10 million tons less than Petroleum and 2 times bigger than
Natural gas. In the next 3 years, the rapid decline of Coal amount
resulted in the half of production lost compared to its previous number.
While the gas stayed the same position, Petroleum rise to almost 140
and kept this data till 1988. From 1988 to 1991, the Natural gas
illustrated an upward trend despite the others fuels went down
significantly, the growing trend was remained for the rest of the period,
making Natural gas become a 100-million-ton fuel. For the Petroleum,
the statistics began to rise again after 1991 and reached its peak at 150
million tons in 1999. On the other hand, the production of coal started
falling noticeable in 1990, resulting in its ending with 40 million tons.

Task 2: In some countries, students live with their family while studying
at university. In other countries, students attend university in another
city. Do you think the advantages of living away from family home while
attending university outweigh the disadvantages?

It is unquestionable that university students choices is certain to have

far-reaching consequences on their future result, especially the
decision of living with family or studying in a different city. In my
opinion, I totally agree with the latter concept and its advantages for
the students.

Firstly, living alone can help students to practice discipline and

apperception. As the university students has to always dealing with a
hectic schedule, they must know how to manage their time, make plan
and balance between hanging out and studying. All this process require
discipline to make sure it will happen and finish properly. Otherwise,
the lack of apperception can left these works undone, affecting badly to
the study result. Moreover, unlike those previous educational levels,
university students tend to pay the school tuition as well as other living
expenses on their own, specificialy in many Western countries. This
force youngsters to find a job, pay their own bills. Consequently, young
people will acknowledge the real meaning of money, contributing to
their respect to parents effort in raising them.

Secondly, living apart from the family open many new opportunities for
making new friends, therefore it can widen your relationships network.
In many traditional families, curfew and rules are set to prevent the
kids to from hanging out all day long, but as they’re getting more
mature, it’s necessary to be more socialize and active which mean they
must spend time outside and meeting people. This idea is not accepted
along old parents or even is restricted for good, so living outside might
be a good way for those who looking for new adventures and amazing
stories everyday.

On the other hand, teenagers with little living experiences would find it
difficult to handle everything. Losing a while of time to catch up with
new life is considered as an disadvantage compare to other students.
Also with the little experience, newbies can put themselves im
dangerous situations such as being kidnapped or bilked by strangers.
Moreover, those who wants to live independently must be educated
about skills, knowledge and self-reliance attitude since their childhood,
which doesn’t exist in the education of many developing countries.

In summary, I totally believe that the advantages of living apart from

family really outweigh the disadvantages of this concept. Specifically,
self-reliance and discipline can be learned during the living alone
period, while some dangerous situations or losing of time can happen
to these students. Therefore, I suggest that skills of living indepently
must be taught to every child to prepare for their bright future,
contributing to our social development.
