3. RES1-3 : DAYLIGHTING
6. RES1-7 : LIFTS
INTRODUCTION
This section describe the strategies adopted to enhance the overall thermal performance of building
envelope to minimise heat gain thus reducing the overall cooling load requirement.
IMPLEMENTATION
Installing glazing with the following specifications:
INTRODUCTION
This section describe the strategies adopted to achieve good natural ventilation for better indoor
comfort or through the use of better efficient air-conditioners if needed.
IMPLEMENTATION
Building layout design utilises prevailing wind conditions to achieve adequate cross ventilation,
where true cross ventilation is present in the living room and bedrooms of the dwelling units &
natural ventilation is present in common areas.

(Bedroom & Living Rooms)
INTRODUCTION
This section describe the strategies adopted encourage design that optimizes the use of effective
daylighting to reduce energy use for artificial lighting.
IMPLEMENTATION
Daylighting in lift lobbies, corridors and staircases.
INTRODUCTION
This section describe the strategies adopted to encourage the use of energy efficient lighting to
minimise energy consumption from lighting usage while maintaining proper lighting level.
IMPLEMENTATION
Installing lighting fixtures at common areas in compliance with the committed design
specifications.
INTRODUCTION
This section describe the strategies implemented to encourage the use of energy efficient design
and control of ventilation systems in carparks.
IMPLEMENTATION
The application of natural & mechanical ventilation at the carparks area.
INTRODUCTION
This section describe the strategies implemented to encourage the use of energy efficient lifts.
IMPLEMENTATION
The application of lifts with energy efficient features as AC variable voltage and variable
frequency (VVVF) motor drive and energy efficient features such as sleep mode.

GreenRE Progress Report
INTRODUCTION
This section describe the strategies implemented to encourage the use of energy efficient features
that are innovative and have positive environmental impact in term of energy saving.
IMPLEMENTATION
Use of energy efficient features
INTRODUCTION
The intent is to describe the strategies implemented to reduce use of potable water for irrigation.
IMPLEMENTATION
a) Use of non potable water for landscaping irrigation i.e. rain water harvesting system.
b) Use of drought tolerant plants that require minimal irrigation
INTRODUCTION
The intent is to encourage the use of products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
IMPLEMENTATION
The products used shall have certifications from either Singapore Green Labeling Scheme (SGLS),
Singapore Green Building Product (SGBC), SIRIM Eco Label, or Recycled Content Declaration
Letter from the product supplier.
INTRODUCTION
The intent of this credit is to encourage the adoption of environmental friendly practices during
construction and building operation.
i. Recording the actual monthly consumption of water, fuel and electricity during construction
as well as attach the bills/invoice. The data are plotted in graphical plots and compared
against the targeted monthly consumption of respective items.
ii. Provision of on site recycling facilities for the segregation of recyclable waste. This includes
metal waste, concrete waste, brick waste, timber waste and other general wastes. The
photograph submission and invoice/documentation of recycling construction waste are
attached for verification purposes.
GreenRE Progress Report
INTRODUCTION
This section is aimed to encourage working from home via internet connection which eventually
reduce the need for travelling thus reduce carbon emission.
INTRODUCTION
The intention is to minimize airborne contaminants, mainly from inside sources to promote a
healthy indoor environment by using low VOC interior paint on the interior walls.
IMPLEMENTATION
Use of low volatile organic compounds (VOC) paints certified.
Figure 2: Local / international certification green certification for low VOC interior paint or low
VOC test certificate
INTRODUCTION
The intention is to encourage the use of green features which are innovative and have positive
environmental impact on water efficiency, environmental protection and indoor environmental
quality of the buildings.
