Vision: We, the Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz community, true to our Ignacian
Marian Identity, witness to the compassionate love of Jesus. We harness our potentials
and nurture their growth toward individual and communal responsibilities for moral
transformation of self and society.

Mission: We commit ourselves to:


1. promote a culture of appreciation, support, and harmony for our school to be a
leaven of social transformation;
2. grow in discernment, interior freedom, and individual and communal
responsibility;
3. pursue constantly innovative programs, approaches, and educational strategies
to develop world-class professionals;
4. form Ignacian Marian leaders who witness to faith, excellence, and service in

Goals: Discerning, proficient and skilled Ignacian-Marian with unwavering faith in God
(FAITH), passion in giving the best of who and what they are (EXCELLENCE) and
genuine humility to serve society in varied socio-cultural settings (SERVICE).

Objectives: Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz adheres to the Department of Education’s K


to 12 Program which covers Kindergarten and 12 years of Basic Education six (6)
years of Primary Education, four (4) years of Junior High School (JHS), and two years
of Senior High School (SHS) to provide sufficient time for mastery of concept and
skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-
level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship.

The K to 12 Program aims to:


1. Strengthen Early Childhood Education (Universal Kindergarten)
2. Make the curriculum relevant to learners (Contextualization and
Enhancement)
3. Ensure integrated and seamless learning (Spiral Progression)
4. Build proficient through language (Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual
Education)
5. Gear up for the future (Senior High School)
6. Nurture the holistically developed Filipino (College and livelihood readiness,
21st Century Skills)
In addition to the K to 12 Program Objectives, as an institution, Saint Mary’s Academy
of Capiz is committed to:
1. Uphold and proclaim a Christ-centered and Ignacian Marian spirituality;
2. Provide the basic knowledge and develop the foundation skills, attitudes and
values including the moral and spiritual dimensions essential to the
development and necessary for living in and contributing to a developing and
changing social milieu;
3. Appreciate and develop one’s identity, talents, and giftedness to promote the
good of others;
4. Instill the real essence of respect for one’s history, culture, traditions, and
differences in dealing with people;
5. Promote and intensify the knowledge of, identification with the love for the
nation and the people to which one belongs;
6. Promote work experience which develops and enhances one’s orientation to
the world of work and creativity in preparation for life;
7. Discover and enhance the different attitudes and interests of the individual
student so as to equip him/her with skills for productive endeavors in the real

The expected Ignacian Marian graduate attributes reflect the three core values
of faith, excellence, and service and their related values. The Ignacian Marian
graduates should acquire and manifest the attributes/traits alone or with others in
what they say and what they do in the home, school, community, or the world at large.
These traits also show the capacity of the graduates to be Ignacian Marian Leaders
and to transfer what they learned in the classrooms to the real world about how to
live their lives and be productive members of society.
