This assignment is an individual one.


(a) (i) Explain the main difference between construct validity and consequential validity
in authentic assessment. 2 marks
(ii) Describe TWO ways in which consequential validity of one authentic assessment
may influence student learning and performance later. 4 marks
(b) Drawing on your experience in using formative assessment, CIPP and authentic
assessment, prepare an authentic assessment on ONE of the content areas of your
subject. Use the five-part sequence of the authentic assessment methodology
[assessment task, at least 100 words; physical context, at least 60 words; social
context, at least 60 words; assessment result or form, at least 200 words; criteria
and standards, at least 100 words.] Also include TWO aspects of CIPP, and TWO
aspects of formative assessment appropriately. In your preparation state clearly how
you will ensure construct validity. Your plan must be presented as a constructive
whole. Remember to state subject, grade level and rural/urban setting of your school.
