1. MONOLOGUE  SPORTS

1. Introduce yourself:

Hello, good morning, my name is Pau Martinez. I’m 22 years old. I’m a primary /praimari/
teacher. I live in Alberic. I’m studying English because I like travelling abroad.

2. Introduce the topic: (3 ideas)

Now, I’m going to talk about my topic, sports. First of all /féstovol/, I’m going to speak about
my favourite sport (1st idea), then I will go on with the sports I don’t like (2nd idea) and
finally I will finish my presentation talking /tookin/ about the benefits of sports (3rd idea).

As I said /sed/ before, (1st idea) my favourite sport is basketball. I used to play basketball
when I was a child /chaild/. I played at school. I like basketball because it’s a team sport and
you do a lot of exercise like running, passing the ball to your mates and so on.

Regarding (2nd idea) the sports I don’t like, I don’t like judo because it’s a difficult sport and
you need to be very strong. Moreover, I think it’s a bit hard because you can hurt yourself. I
don’t like individual sports because sometimes they are boring.

Finally (3rd idea), talking about the benefits of sports, in my opinion sports are very important
for our health /jelz/ because they keep /kiip/ you fit, you develop stamina /stámina/
(resitencia), strength (fuerza) and coordination. People who practise sports are happier than
those /dous/ you don’t, because sports help them to release (liberar) stress and forget
problems.

3. Conclusion: (no new idea)

To conclude/In conclusion/ All in all, sports are a good way of keeping healthy /jelzy/, happy
and of meeting new friends. But if you don’t have too much time you can always go for a walk.

Now, I’m going to talk about my topic, schooling. First of all /féstovol/, I’m going to speak
about my favourite subjects at school (1st idea), then I will go on with education nowadays
(2nd idea) and finally I will finish my presentation talking /tookin/ about learning foreign
languages(3rd idea).

As I said /sed/ before, (1st idea) my favourite subject at school was Spanish language and
literature /lítruacha/. I like it because it is very important to know how to write properly
(correctamente) and also to know the culture /kálcha/ of your own country.

Regarding (2nd idea) education nowadays, in my opinion it has changed a lot during the last
decades /dikeids/ due to the new technologies and the internet. Nowadays people use the
computer for everything and the internet is like the new enciclopaedia /insiklopidia/ because
you can find here everything you need to learn whatever (cualquier) subject.

Finally (3rd idea), talking about learning a foreign /forin/ language /langüich/, I think it is very
important not only as a subject but also for travelling. If you can speak a foreign /forin/
language /langüich/b you can communicate with people and learn about their culture
/kálcha/.

To conclude/In conclusion/ All in all, Education is the most important tool we have to live a
decent /disent/ life and to be able to choose by yourself.
