May I introduce myself. My full name’s La Minh Vu. I’m a second-year student
of economic law at HoChiMinh University of Banking. I come from Gia Lai

Yes, I do. I like my school very much. Because it is very big and beautiful /
Because the school has very good education quality, low tuition fees, nice
campus. The school’s students are very friendly.
I really enjoy and consider Ho Chi Minh of University Banking school a pride of
mine. My impression of my current university is that it is a large campus with a
beautiful view, good infrastructure, high quality teaching staff, friendly and
sociable friends.

1/ Describe your house
My house is in the center of Pleiku City. It is on Le Dai Hanh street. It was built
7 years ago. My house has two floors and it is yellow. There are 9 rooms. There
is a living-room, a kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathroom, and two toilet . In the
living room, there is a TV, some chair and a small chest of drawers. Inside the
bedroom were a table, a wardrobe and a bed. There is also a light and a fan. The
kitchen has many things, such as: rice cooker, clothes hanger, sink, lamp, 2
chairs, and a fridge. In the bathroom there is a bath and shower, a basin and a
toilet. Everything in my house is simple and lovely. I really love my house very
much. It is a safe and peaceful place for me to live in.

1/ The importance of English
Nowadays, English has become very popular language in the world. English is a
useful language for us. In my opinion, I would say that English is important for
four reasons. Firstly, English is really important for you if you really love it and
is probably the best, strongest motivation for you to go away with any language
other than your mother tongue, especially English. Secondly, English is really
important for you if you really love it and is probably the best, strongest

especially English. Thirdly, Learning English is also an important condition for
you to access and update knowledge sources from around the world. Fourth,

English is very popular in the world now. It is spoken by many countries all over
the world. It is an important subject in schools. Studying English is very
interesting and useful. If your English is good, you can listen to music, read
English books and learn how to use a computer easily. English help you widen
your knowledge. Besides, it helps you collect information from the Internet.
Currently, I am trying you practice English with my friends every day. I hope
that my English will be much better helping me find a good job and making me
success my work as well as in my life.

I travel school by foot because I live in the school dormitory and it is located on
the school campus

It takes me about 3 minutes, because the distance from the dormitory to the
classroom is quite short.

I like badminton because playing the sport brings me a lot of fun, makes me feel
relaxed, reducing my stress after lessons at school

One of my favorite rooms in my house is living room. It is very spacious and
bright. I always keep it clean and tidy. On the floor, there is a big red carpet in
the center of the room. On the carpet, I put a big sofa, four small sofas, and a big
table. There is a small round table near a large window where I can enjoy my
beautiful garden windows. I like reading so there is a bookshelf with various
books on it. The living room is very warm in winter because it has got a
fireplace. We hang some pictures of landscapes as well as paintings on the walls
to make the room livelier. There is also a pot of a small plant in the corner of the
room, so we can get some fresh air from it. To sum up, our family always has a
good time there together.

In my free time, I love to relax by listening to music and watching my favorite
films. I study all day, so after 9 PM is the only time that I can use for myself. I
have a smartphone, so I can download a lot of songs from the Internet for free,
and I usually listen to them with my headphones. If no one is at home, I will turn
on the loudspeakers to have the best experience with music, but most of the time
I only listen to music with headphones. Besides music, movies are my second
biggest love. When I am not listening to the songs, I turn on my computer and
watch some of the latest movies on the websites. My parents want me to read
books to learn even in my free time, but I think I should do what I actually love
to make myself comfortable.

1/ Reading books is good for your memory.
In my opinion, reading books is good for the brain. When reading a book, your
eyes, mouth, ears, and brain work together to understand its content. Reading
books helps us practice several skills as well as improve our memory than
reading books on the phone. When reading on the phone, we will be distracted
by many factors. Reading a book helps us think more about the content it wants
to convey, helping us remember it better and longer.
2/ Speaking in English is easier than writing.
English is the most international language in the world. In our country, English
is the main foreign language taught in schools and widely used in business. If
we know English, we can read all kinds of English books to expand our
knowledge, communicate with most foreigners easily and above all it helps find
a good and well-paid job in a business company. In short, we need to know
English and speak it fluently so that we can have more opportunities to improve
our lives.

My neighbourhood is in Gia Lai province. Almost everything I need is here:
shops, markets, schools, cafes, post offices. Every house has a front yard. The
roads are wide. There are no modern buildings and offices, so the streets are not
busy and crowded during the day. The people here are very friendly and kind.
The air is fresh and the food is delicious. I love my neighbourhood so much.

1/ Television is good for the children.
Television is the breakthrough invention of the human. It is good for children.
TV is a huge source of information with a wide variety of news and instruction
channels. Children now can learn through TV and update news about what is
happening in the world. Television also provides a huge knowledge of many
fields including natural sciences and social sciences. Besides, television is a
common type of entertainment thanks to a wide range of music TV programs,
cartoons, reality shows, and funny programs, such as the TV program the world
of animals. It’s on VTV2 and it is broadcasted every Friday evening. This
program helps children with lots is interesting knowledge about me the name of
animals and their lives. Television is indeed, good for children to relax after
stressful school hours.
I don’t agree with this opinion. When children look at the TV screen too much,
it is easy to cause their eyes to be damaged by eye diseases for children. Many
parents often turn on the TV for their children to watch and then do other jobs,
which makes their children dependent on the TV. In addition, when watching
TV a lot, children will not want to play with friends but only want to watch TV
screens, then communication will also be difficult.

Information technology in today’s modern society is very popular. Almost
everyone knows how to use a computer. Computers help people do many things
like looking up information, editing documents, doing homework, shopping,
paying electricity bill, etc. Computers have been very popular and will develop
even much more in the future.
In this modern life, the computer seems to play an important role and to be
indefensible. No one can deny the benefit of computers. First, the computer
reduces our power for ideal work. Second, it is always a fast and exact,
convenient way to solve any problem. For example, if we want to replace the
position of some question for the exam, the computer will help us a lot. Third,
the computer also plays role in entertainment, we can relax with computers after
hard working days. Fourth, the computer helps us communicate with anyone in
the world, and widen our knowledge about other countries. In conclusion, the
computer always helps us in life, if we use it in the right way.
