Thi-s operation shoufd be performed before moving the aircrat form it's
Parking place Lo avoid that condense water present on tank bottom
emulsify with fue1. Check for water presence in tank.
In that case repeat fuel drain opearation.
2.2 REFUELLING
REFUELLING OPERATIONS
1) Make sure that the fuel feeding hoses are safely connected;
Use the fuel duetion hose (filter provided) - (check for cleaning
and integrity)
2) Connect the fuef sucLion hose (filter provided) i-n the appro-
priate supply connection located in the l-ower R.H. fuselage
sj-de, just aft of the main landing gear.
Iasert the hose end in the fuel can.
3) Start the refuelling electrical pump and open the feeding
cock positioned under fuselage.
4) After the refuelling is complete the air bubbless that may be present
in t.he hoses must be e1i-minated.
To do thj-s, alternally drain tanks until air bubbles are eliminated.

Set engine at 2500 RPM and check:
Fasten seat-be1ts;
Set FLAP at intermediate position (5' )
Release parking brakes (throttle ful1 advance and va1v1e open)
Move to holding point
c) Set engine at 3000 RPM: RESWITCH OFF AND ON MANGETOS AND CHECK THAT,
FOR EACH MAGNETOS, RPM DROP IS BELOW 3OO RPM.
Check operating of auxiliary fuel pump
d) with parking brakes applied and control stick at 1/3 pitched up,
APPLY FULL ENGINE POWER AND CHECK THAT ENGINE RPM IS NOT LOWER THAN
5200 RPM.
IF GROUND IS SLIPPERY AND IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PERFORM THIS CHECK
WITH AIRCRAFT STOPPED, CHECK THIS DURING FIRST METERS OF TAKE-OFF RUN
CAUT]ON: If engine RPM is lower than specified va1ue, come back to parking
and check engine and plants

c) Adjust. Trim for climb
d) Reached the min safety flight altitude of BOm reduce RPM
to max permitted value for continuos c11mbing.
CAUTTON: DURING CONT]NUOS CLIMB DO NOT EXCEED FOLLOWING PARÅMENITERS:
IF NECESSARY REDUCE RPM AND INCREASE SPEED TO LET THE ENGINE COLD
OVER 120 KM,/h RETRACT FLAPS COMPLETLY
3.6 CRUISE
d,) Before st.arting cruise, once the aircraft is 1eveI1ed, check fuel
quantity sti11 available and switch off auxiliary fuel pump
b) Set flight parameters as desired, retract flaps and trim the aircraft
as necessary
Following speeds, reached by a 1620 mm diameter two blades propeller/ are

(handels fu11y advanced) and reduce speed to:
MAX WEIGHT - zero wind - Km/h 75 IAS
- crosswi-nd - Km/h 80 IAs
USEFT'L HINTS:
If you arrj-ve at t.ouch-down point:
1) TOO LONG: It's necessary to reduce speed and to exctract flap completly;
t.his can be done in the following way:
GENTLY PITCH UP UMTIL SPEED DECREASE TO REQUESTED VALUE;
THEN DROP NOSE AS NECESSARY TO MANTEIN DESIRED ATRSPEED

SET PEDAIS IN CEIVTER POSIOTN TO ALIGN NOSE WHEEL TO MOVING
DIRECTION AND GENTLY RELASE CONTROL STICK IN ORDER TO LET NOSE WHEEL
TO TOUCH-DOWN.
3) After all wheel touched the ground, gradually brake the aircraft.
If runway lenght is average, 1et the aireraft decelerate keeping
nose wheel off the ground as long as possible.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
WARNING: Set flight parameters for max efficieney - Immediately look around
to the ground to seek for and adeguate area for landing
ff altitude is average, proceed as follows:
a) Verify that green Iight. is ILLUMINATED and both fuel cocks are
FULLY OPEN
c) Level the aircraft; then 1ower the nose and Lry Lo avoid obstacles
d) Immediately after landing, leave aircraft.
WARNING: During pu11 up, DO NOT any guick or jerry movement on flight

5.3 CLIMB
Fj-g.6-4 shows a diagram concerning the maximum aircraft rate of climb with
engine set to 6000 RPM. Diagram also consider altltude referred to sea level,
number of occupants and ambient temperature.
Climb Speed:
- Vx (best angle of climb), i.e. the indicated airspeed wich a11ows the aircraft
to reach the max altitude wi-th a min ground distance; for STORCH aircraft is 95
Km/h, with flap set to 15o.
- Vy (best, rate of climb), i.e. the indicated airspeed corrsponding to the max
aircraft rate of climb; for STORCH aircraft is 125 Kt1\/ht wit.h flap set at 5".
6.4 CRUISE
Fig.6-5 shows the dlagram relevant to the aircraft crui-sing
speed with engine set Lo 5500 RPM - The diagram take i-nto
account of type of propeller installed, occupants number and
altitude on sea 1eve1.
6.5 LANDTNG
Fig.5-6 Shows the diagram relewant to landing rr.ns and distances
over an obstacle of 15 meters (49 fL) height
The diagram also considers the runway altitude, number of
occupants and ambient temperature.
