Maggie Rides the

Bus to School
Summer is over and Maggie is ready to go back
to school. This year Maggie is going to be riding
the bus. She has all of her school supplies and is
ready for the bus to pick her up!
First, Maggie must wait for the bus at the bus
stop. Maggie waits patiently with her friends in
a safe place, away from the traffic.
Then the bus arrives at the bus stop. Maggie
waits in line to get on the bus.
Next, Maggie looks both ways to
make sure she is safe to walk
toward the bus.
After seeing that she is safe, Maggie walks up
the stairs of the bus and greets her bus
driver. “Good Morning!”
Maggie finds and open seat and puts
her seat belt on. If she needs help with
her seatbelt, she asks an adult.
Maggie follows all the bus rules. She
stays seated, keeps her hands and
feet to herself, and uses an inside
voice to talk to her friends.
Finally, Maggie’s bus arrived at school!
She stays in her seat until the bus has
fully stopped.
Then she tells her bus driver “thank
you” and walks down the stairs to get
off the bus where she meets her
teacher!
Maggie is an excellent and safe bus
rider!
