What is It
Aspects of verb refers to the state of action of a verb.
Simple Aspect of verbs change base on its Tense which include Present, Past and Future.
Perfect Aspect expresses a completed action. When forming Perfect Aspect, we use has, have,
had and will have. Has is used for Present Perfect which is expressed to look back from the present times
with the singular subject, e.g. Jeff has eaten his breakfast. Have is used for Present Perfect which is
expressed to look back from the present times with the plural subject. e.g. Jeff and Joey have eaten their
breakfast. Had is used for Past Perfect which is expressed to look in the past, e.g. Rico has done his
assignment before he went home. Will have is used when the complete action is expressed to look
forward into the future, e.g. The Scientist will have developed a vaccine for children for the next years.
Progressive Aspect expresses an ongoing action e.g. The government is trying to stop the spread
of the virus.
Perfect Progressive Aspect expresses the end of an ongoing action. We have been keeping
social distancing since the start of the outbreak.
