HYDEA is an international design firm with a solid track record in architecture, infrastructure, engi-
neering, environment and cultural heritage.

Since its foundation in 1990, HYDEA has favoured a multidisciplinary, integrated approach, which
merges tradition with innovation, while taking into account the clients’ expectations and valuing the

 ARCHITECTURE

HYDEA adopts a multidisciplinary collaborative design approach and covers a wide

range of interventions: residential complexes, accommodation facilities, museums,
exhibitions and congress centres, restoration and enhancement of historic buildings.

In recent years, a significant part of the design work carried out for private entities
has concerned outlet shopping centres and wineries for high-end manufacturers.
Assignments received by public institutions, on the other hand, have mainly
concerned hospitals, schools and social housing complexes, as well as congress and
institutional centres.

In Italy the activities have been focused on restoration and renovation of historic
buildings, while abroad HYDEA is mainly involved with projects and services concerning
technical assistance and institutional consulting, along with interventions concerning
UNESCO world heritage.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

HYDEA's activities on territorial and environmental sciences reflects the evolution of these
disciplines, which, far from fulfilling a function of mere protection of natural resources,
have now become a tool for managing the territory, and fostering its social and economic
development.

The Environment division operates throughout the entire design chain and across all
the activities. It boasts many years of experience in environmental impact studies and
monitoring of natural components in projects aimed to environmental recovery and
rehabilitation of degraded sites, for recreational and naturalistic purposes.

In the area of Circular Economy, on the other hand, HYDEA carries out consultancy and
design activities related to the management and disposal of waste, particularly municipal
solid waste, and has a solid international reputation.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Founded as a civil engineering company, HYDEA has significant experience in the

field of hydraulic engineering and mobility. These activities are carried out on behalf
of both public administrations and private entities and are developed according to a
multidisciplinary approach, pursuing a technical and economic optimisation of the
possible solutions.

The company also participates in international cooperation projects aimed at

development and financed by multilateral aid, bilateral cooperation or directly by the
governments of beneficiary countries in the 5 continents.
